Farewell to search and rescue forces in Nam Tong

After 15 days of actively searching for the missing victims, with the close direction of the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Committee and agencies and units at all levels, along with the efforts and determination of the military, police, border guards, volunteers and local people, the bodies have been found and 5 people killed at the Southeast Asia - Nam Luc Hydropower Plant's operating house have been identified, and 14 people killed in Ban Cai hamlet, Nam Tong village.

Over the past 2 weeks, the forces have been working hard to find the victims' bodies so they can be handed over to their families for burial and to help them stabilize their lives. However, 4 bodies have yet to be found.

After withdrawing forces, at the landslide scene in Nam Tong village, the district and commune forces and local people will continue to search for the remaining missing victims as well as help people overcome the consequences of natural disasters and stabilize their lives.

At the farewell ceremony, Bac Ha district presented the forces participating in the rescue and relief work in Nam Luc with the national flag with the words: Nam Tong village, Nam Luc commune, Bac Ha district, Lao Cai province. The Chairman of Bac Ha district People's Committee also presented Certificates of Merit to 3 groups and 44 individuals participating in the rescue and relief work in Bac Ha.
