Admire traditional peach trees in Hanoi for the first time 'competing in a beauty contest'

TPO - With 54 peach trees of 29 artisans in traditional peach growing villages: Nhat Tan, Phu Thuong (Tay Ho district, Hanoi city) competing in the first traditional peach blossom contest held at the city level.

The Year of the Dragon is coming, the traditional peach blossom craft village of Nhat Tan is honored by the Hanoi Department of Agriculture to bring its peach blossom products to participate in the City-level competition.

After three times of organization, the Peach Blossom Festival and the traditional peach village skills competition in Nhat Tan ward (Tay Ho district) have gradually brought peach growers more motivation to continue maintaining and developing the craft village.

Through each contest, there are more beautiful peach blossom products, with high artistic value and high economic efficiency.

This is an opportunity for the government and people of Nhat Tan peach blossom village to continue promoting the spirit of labor and creativity. Under the talented and skillful hands of Nhat Tan people, they have created unique peach blossom products with beautiful designs and flower quality, bringing high economic efficiency to growers.

Each peach tree will be scored according to 13 specific criteria. The judges will score each tree and select 18/54 trees for the final round.

"Nhat Tan peach blossom" still affirms its sacred cultural value every time Tet comes, especially on the occasion of Lunar New Year.

The bright color of peach blossoms stands out among other flowers, so it has truly become the traditional Tet flower of the nation, radiating the sacredness of heaven and earth.

The award-winning peach trees will be displayed on Trinh Cong Son walking street during the 2024 Spring Festival of Peach Blossoms, Kumquats and OCOP Products of the Regions, taking place on January 26.
