Madam Pang sent a letter of apology for the incident of incorrect Vietnamese national flag

TPO - On the evening of October 28, President of the Football Association of Thailand Nualphan Lamsam (Madam Pang) sent an official letter to the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and President Tran Quoc Tuan to apologize for the incident of incorrectly displaying the Vietnamese national flag during the draw ceremony for the 2025 Southeast Asian U19 Men's Futsal Championship.

In the letter, Madam Pang wrote: “On behalf of the Football Association of Thailand, I would like to express my deepest regret and sincere apologies for the unfortunate incident involving the misplacement of the Vietnamese flag during the draw for the 2025 Southeast Asian U19 Men's Futsal Championship, to be held in Thailand on October 28, 2025.”

The head of FAT said she was very saddened and regretful about the incident, affirming that this was a mistake that did not reflect the spirit of respect and appreciation that the Football Association of Thailand always has for Vietnam as well as other member countries in the region.

"We are fully aware of the seriousness of this error and take full responsibility for the oversight that occurred," Madam Pang stated.

She stated that FAT immediately implemented corrective measures and reviewed and tightened event organization procedures to ensure that similar incidents would never happen again.

"The Football Association of Thailand sincerely apologizes to the Vietnam Football Federation, the Southeast Asian Football Federation, and all parties involved for this incident," Madam Pang stated, while also expressing her desire to personally apologize to VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan in the near future.

Concluding the letter, Madam Pang affirmed: “The Football Association of Thailand and I personally deeply appreciate your continued understanding and support, and reaffirm our unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and respect in all AFF events hosted by FAT.”
