Big shock at SEA Games 33: U22 Timor Leste defeats Singapore

U22 Timor Leste created the biggest shock of SEA Games 33 so far when they defeated U22 Singapore 3-1 in the second match of Group A of men's football.

In the opening match of the men's football at the 33rd SEA Games, the U22 Timor Leste team lost to Thailand with a heavy score of 1-6. This result completely coincided with the opinion that U22 Timor Leste was the weakest team in Group A.

Therefore, when U22 Singapore faced Timor Leste in the second match of Group A on the evening of December 6, many experts believed that the young team from the Lion Island would have an easy victory, even a big victory to send U22 Timor Leste home.

The developments at Rajamangala Stadium seemed to be as predicted as U22 Singapore quickly found the lead in the 11th minute thanks to captain Amir Rashid.
