According to data from the Department of Hydrometeorology, many places in the North have had very heavy rain from last night to this morning, June 4, typically Thuong Tien (Hoa Binh) recorded 137.5mm of rain, Phu Lam (Tuyen Quang) 119.2mm, Bac Giang 118.2mm. Localized heavy rain also appeared in the Central Highlands and the South, such as in Ia RSươm (Gia Lai) 146.4mm and Dong Nai Thuong (Dong Nai) 117.6mm.

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting also said that on the night of June 3, and early this morning, the Northwest, Viet Bac and Northern Delta regions had thunderstorms, many places had very heavy rain.

It is forecasted that in the afternoon and evening of June 4, these areas will continue to have thunderstorms, expanding to the North Central region, with some places having heavy rain, accompanied by the risk of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. The Central Highlands and the South are also in the area at risk of widespread thunderstorms later in the day, posing a potential risk of dangerous weather.

World meteorological agencies such as GFS (Global Climate Forecast System, USA) and ECMWF (European Center for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts) also warned that around 5-6 pm this afternoon, Hanoi will have rain, while Ho Chi Minh City and the South may have thunderstorms from around 3 pm on June 4.
