Tan Thanh Pagoda is located in Tan Thanh Commune, Van Lang District, Lang Son Province, 28 km northwest of Lang Son City. Construction began in 2015 and Tan Thanh Pagoda consists of three areas: the main shrine (Tam Bao Palace), the shrine of Duc Thanh Tran, the shrine of Duc Thanh Mau and Tam Quan. In the pagoda grounds, there are over 100 statues and about 1,000 trees of all kinds, nearly half of which are peach blossoms blooming brilliantly every spring.

Pure Vietnamese architecture with over 300 blocks of Lao lim wood, elaborately carved, gilded Buddha statues; parallel sentences in Vietnamese characters, Vietnamese meanings... visitors will see that the Tam Bao building of Tan Thanh Pagoda is a typical architectural model that few places in Vietnam have.

Another special feature is that each brick of the pagoda has the capital letters: "The Socialist Republic of Vietnam - Buddhist calendar 2559 established Tan Thanh pagoda" which will be a cultural milestone that will last for a thousand years at the border of the Fatherland.

When visiting the pagoda, visitors will notice that there are many highlights here. In particular, from the unique Vietnamese architecture, in harmony with the overall landscape, the way the landscape is decorated, the arrangement of the worship areas, the decorations in the shrines...

Built on a high position, standing anywhere in the temple, you can look out to the neighboring country, taking in the whole country. Looking down from above at the gate, the sky, mountains and people seem to blend into one. The sound of the temple bell echoing in the wind makes the space in the temple seem more peaceful, bringing a sense of relaxation to Buddhists.

Venerable Thich Quang Truyen, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Executive Committee of the Buddhist Sangha of Lang Son Province, said: “Tan Thanh Pagoda was built on the border of the country, not only as a place to worship Buddha but also as a cultural and spiritual milestone of the Vietnamese people. The presence of the pagoda is a message of sincerity, compassion in the spirit of Buddhism, friendship, and commitment to mutual development of the Vietnamese people with the international community.”

Up to now, Tan Thanh Pagoda has become a spiritual destination of Lang Son next to Dong Dang Mau Temple. With its magnificent appearance and pure Vietnamese architecture, Tan Thanh Pagoda makes pilgrims always want to visit and admire the beauty of the pagoda at the gateway to the Vietnam - China border, offer incense to pray for national peace and prosperity, and send wishes for a peaceful and prosperous border.
