At the meeting, Chairman of the Economic and Financial Committee Phan Van Mai highly appreciated the strong and comprehensive development of the Vietnam - Australia relationship after more than 50 years of establishing diplomatic relations, with the two countries establishing a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in 2024.

Agreeing with the assessment of Chairman of the Economic and Financial Committee Phan Van Mai, Ambassador Gillian Bird affirmed that the bilateral relationship has reached an unprecedented height and is entering a historic stage in the development process, demonstrated through visits by leaders of the two countries, exchanges of high-level delegations, and people-to-people exchanges.
