
At the meeting, Chairman of the Economic and Financial Committee Phan Van Mai highly appreciated the strong and comprehensive development of the Vietnam - Australia relationship after more than 50 years of establishing diplomatic relations, with the two countries establishing a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in 2024.

The Ambassador also said that the Australian Government will provide an official development assistance package worth about AUD 90 million over 7 years to Vietnam, under the Australia-Vietnam Partnership Strategy and Framework for Economic Growth (Aus4Growth Program). The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Committee thanked Australia for its past and present support to Vietnam, especially in perfecting market economic institutions and improving the investment and business environment.


The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Committee wishes to exchange experiences with relevant Australian agencies in new areas such as green economy and digital economy; continue to cooperate with agencies of the Australian Parliament in a substantive manner, go into depth in perfecting institutions for these areas, thereby creating favorable conditions and further promoting investment and trade cooperation between the two countries.
