That's why I want the players to always strive to move forward. I believe that if we focus on supporting and developing youth training as well as the national team, Indonesia will go much further."
Bola newspaper believes that the 2023 Asian Cup is a good opportunity for Indonesian football to advance in the FIFA rankings. The newspaper commented: "The Indonesian team will have a chance to jump up the FIFA rankings if they compete successfully in the 2023 Asian Cup.

The Indonesian team will play the opening match of this tournament on January 15 against Iraq. After that, they will face the Vietnamese team (January 19) and Japan (January 24).
