Da Nang Chairman becomes Head of the team researching ideas for sea encroachment

The Office of the People's Committee of Da Nang City said that the City has just issued a decision to establish a Working Group to study the idea of ​​reclaiming the sea in Da Nang Bay.

According to this decision, the Chairman of Da Nang City, Mr. Le Trung Chinh, will be the Head of the working group to study the idea of ​​reclaiming land from the sea; the Vice Chairman of the City, Mr. Le Quang Nam, will be the Deputy Head.

The working group to study the idea of ​​reclaiming the sea in Da Nang Bay is responsible for researching and proposing to the People's Committee of Da Nang City on policies, orientations, mechanisms, policies and overall solutions related to the study of the idea of ​​reclaiming the sea in Da Nang Bay.

At the same time, direct the implementation of determining the objectives, scope, and content of the research; review and select preliminary options and ideas; direct the collection of information, data, and field surveys necessary to serve the research of ideas.

Da Nang established a working group to study the idea of ​​reclaiming land in Da Nang Bay.

The working group also coordinates and unifies the activities of relevant departments, branches, localities and units in the process of organizing research and proposing plans.

At the same time, evaluate options and ideas in terms of socio -economic efficiency, economic and technical feasibility, environmental impacts, sustainability, conformity with socio-economic development orientation, urban planning and related planning of the City and regional planning...

The Secretary of Da Nang said that Da Nang City is implementing a research project to form a Free Trade Zone, a Financial and Trade Service Center, in the form of calling for investment to build 5 floating islands on Da Nang Bay, creating about 48 km of new sea route on these islands.
