On November 3, the 2024 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament officially ended after the final match and the Closing Ceremony at the Hanoi University of Science and Technology Stadium. Mr. Tran Ba Duong - Chairman of THACO's Board of Directors attended and awarded the Championship Cup to the Quang Ninh Trade Union football team.
The program was attended by Mr. Tran Quang Phuong - Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang - President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor ; Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Head of the Steering Committee of the Award; Mr. Le The Chu - Editor-in-Chief of Tuoi Tre Newspaper; Mr. Tran Xuan Toan - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Tuoi Tre Newspaper, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Award;... and representatives of leaders of local departments, branches and sectors.
The final match was intense and exciting with the competition between the Quang Ninh Trade Union team and the Sacombank Binh Duong team. After 90 minutes of play, the two teams tied with a score of 2-2 and entered the penalty shootout. In the end, the Quang Ninh Trade Union team won with a score of 4-3, becoming the champion of the 2024 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament.
At the closing ceremony, THACO Chairman Tran Ba Duong and delegates congratulated and awarded the Championship Cup and a prize of 150 million VND to the Quang Ninh Trade Union football team.
Through the tournament, THACO hopes that the sports movement will grow stronger and stronger, thereby contributing to improving the spiritual life and productivity of workers; at the same time, training the health, will and motivation of workers and civil servants, contributing to promoting the development of enterprises and the country's economy.
