On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, Mr. Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Party Secretary, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association , sent a congratulatory letter to all cadres, members, and journalists nationwide.

The President of the Vietnam Journalists Association sent his best wishes to all cadres, members, and journalists nationwide; at the same time, he emphasized that June 21 this year is certainly a special, memorable, and proud occasion for Vietnamese journalists, more than ever, because it is the moment marking the unprecedented milestone of a century since the birth of Thanh Nien Newspaper, founded by leader Nguyen Ai Quoc - the mouthpiece of the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association, the most important predecessor organization of our Party, and also a century since the birth of Revolutionary Journalism.

It is even more proud that on the bright milestones of the nation's history over the past hundred years, there are strong marks of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press. In the pre-uprising years, the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press became a sharp political weapon, calling for action, preparing the theoretical, political, ideological and organizational foundations for the founding of the Party on February 3, 1930, encouraging the people to create a revolutionary movement that contributed decisively to the success of the August 1945 General Uprising, regaining independence for the nation, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam).

During the years of resistance war for independence, building and defending the Fatherland, under the leadership of the Party, the Revolutionary Press continued to promote the role of an "important military branch", encouraging patriotism and determination to defeat the invaders.

In the midst of the war, journalists went to battle as soldiers, holding both pens and guns to fight, spreading and uniting millions of people across the country, all working towards one goal, which is to liberate the country and maintain national independence.

Hundreds of martyr journalists have heroically sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, adding to the glorious tradition of the country's Revolutionary Press.

Entering the period of peace , innovation and integration, the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press has truly integrated itself into the flow of practical life, clearly demonstrating its role in leading ideology, orienting public opinion, spreading trust, responsibility and development aspirations to all classes of people to successfully implement the innovation policy initiated and led by our Party as well as playing an important role in expanding foreign relations, enhancing Vietnam's role and position in the international arena.

The President of the Vietnam Journalists Association emphasized: Recalling and remembering the past is not only to be proud but also to strengthen faith on the path forward.

A particularly meaningful coincidence is that the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press entered a new development journey at the exact moment the country was entering a new era, an era of national growth.

The new era is the time when the country and people must rise up strongly, strive to successfully achieve strategic goals, create remarkable development at a new height, new level, new quality, establish the country's position in the international arena, and create the foundation for the next breakthrough development step.

Right now, more than ever, Vietnamese journalists and Vietnamese press agencies, in addition to continuing to maintain their strong political will, bright mind, humane spirit, and professional integrity, must also light the fire of innovation and creativity.

"Therefore, I hope that when entering the 100-year milestone, the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press, in addition to maintaining its orientation and stance of wholeheartedly following the Party to serve the people and the country, in addition to being 'concise' and 'refined' in the spirit of Resolution 18-NQ/TW, must also urgently innovate, innovate continuously and more strongly, seek development solutions to be able to conquer readers and listeners on new platforms, creating a difference between the press and other media channels. Only by effectively realizing successful innovation and creativity models can the press develop truly sustainably, professionally, creatively and humanely, and continue to maintain its position as the main and essential media, a media beacon guiding public opinion and guiding people in the sea of information in the digital age," the Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association expressed.

"The glory of a century accompanying the nation, the people's trust and expectations in the press are only provisions and support for Vietnamese journalists to become stronger and more determined in the era of development. On behalf of the leadership of the Vietnam Journalists Association, once again, I would like to send to veteran journalists, relatives and families of martyred journalists, all Vietnamese journalists, along with numerous collaborators and those working in printing and distributing newspapers nationwide my warmest regards and best wishes," said Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association Le Quoc Minh./.
