Swimming pool system meets competition and swimming practice standards for children of Dai Thanh Long Construction, Trade and Production Company Limited.
The project was invested and put into operation in 2016 with a total investment of nearly 80 billion VND. At that time, spending a large amount of money to invest in playgrounds, classrooms, swimming pools, and art rooms for children made many people doubt its economic efficiency. But for Mr. Tran Duc Long, Director of Dai Thanh Long Construction, Trade and Production Company Limited, this was a choice from the heart and responsibility. Mr. Long shared: I was a child born and raised in a poor rural area. After decades of living, working and traveling to many places in and outside the country, I see more and more that rural children are disadvantaged because they do not have good conditions to study or have proper playgrounds. Therefore, when I have the opportunity, I want to contribute so that the next generation of my hometown does not have to go through those shortages, they have a favorable environment to develop comprehensively like children in urban areas.
Theeducational , cultural and sports complex of Dai Thanh Long Construction, Trade and Production Company Limited is built on an area of over 10,000m2 , including 3 standard 7-player soccer fields that can be flexibly converted into 11-player fields; 6 swimming pools with a total area of about 5,000m2 , including a standard competition pool 50m long, 30m wide, 10 lanes; practice pool, diving pool and separate pools for children. The 4-storey building with a total area of 3,000m2 has 11 classrooms for cultural subjects such as Math, Literature, English, Physics, Chemistry... for students from middle school to high school. The entire fourth floor of 300m2 is dedicated to art classes including music , dance, and singing. In addition, there is an outdoor playground to help children develop physically and practice life skills.
After coming into operation, the center quickly attracted the attention of the community. However, difficulties soon came when the Covid-19 pandemic lasted for many years, causing teaching, training and event organization activities to be almost completely interrupted. Businesses had to manage to maintain operations, maintain the system and pay regular expenses without a stable source of income. Mr. Tran Duc Long shared: There were times when I was under a lot of financial pressure, but I never thought of stopping. Because this is what I have to do, not only for myself but also for the whole community.
Not only investing in infrastructure, Dai Thanh Long Construction, Trade and Production Company Limited also proactively coordinates with organizations such as the Cultural - Sports Center, Youth Union, Department of Education and Training of Vu Thu district to organize youth and youth football tournaments, swimming classes in the summer. The enterprise sponsors all costs of the field, and at the same time calls for additional sponsors to organize the tournament and maintain annual activities. Ms. Phan Thi Ngan Phuong, Secretary of the Vu Thu District Youth Union, said: The support of Dai Thanh Long Construction, Trade and Production Company Limited is very valuable. They not only support with facilities but also create conditions for the Youth Union - Team to have more useful space for children.
The learning and art space at the center is also trusted by many parents to send their children to study. Teacher Bui Trong Thanh, who directly teaches music classes, commented: The equipment and learning conditions here are quite complete. What I appreciate most is the way the business works for real value, creating an environment for children to develop, not chasing after profit. Ms. Hoang Thi Kim Oanh, whose child is taking music classes at the center, shared: My child has been studying piano in the Do Re Mi class for nearly a year. I feel very secure because the classroom is spacious, airy, has good pianos and is taught by very dedicated teachers. More importantly, the children have an environment to study, play and have fun, avoiding addiction to phones, computers and games. Meanwhile, Nguyen Ngoc Uyen Nhi, a 7th grade student in Hoa Binh commune, said: My child has found the extra English lessons here effective. She has practiced listening and speaking more and is now more confident when communicating in English.
