This isPresident Luong Cuong's first foreign trip in 2025 and also his first visit to Laos as head of state.

Over the past time, the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos have been constantly consolidated and strengthened through visits, meetings and contacts at high and all levels.

During meetings and contacts, high-ranking leaders of the two countries agreed to continue to strengthen and consolidate political relations and special trust; and cooperate in security and defense to ensure security, order and social safety.

Vietnam and Laos promote economic , trade and investment cooperation; create breakthroughs towards a bilateral trade turnover of 5 billion USD; effectively implement large and key projects of Vietnamese enterprises in Laos.

In addition, strengthen comprehensive connectivity between the two economies, especially in infrastructure, transportation, investment, and tourism; promote cooperation in other areas such as education-training, culture, science and technology, tourism, and people-to-people exchange.
