President Vo Van Thuong meets voters in Hoa Vang district, Da Nang city

NDO - On the afternoon of December 5, in Hoa Vang District, Da Nang City, President Vo Van Thuong and the National Assembly Delegation of Da Nang City met with voters of Hoa Vang District after the 6th session of the 15th National Assembly.

Representatives of the City National Assembly Delegation reported to voters the results of the 6th session and the handling of voters' opinions and recommendations sent before the session so far. Of which, 100% of voters' opinions and recommendations under the jurisdiction of the city's competent agencies have been answered and results have been sent to the people. At the meeting, voters and people of Hoa Vang district expressed their trust and continued support for the Party and State's fight against corruption and negativity; trust in the results of investigations and trials of corruption and negativity cases, there are truly no forbidden areas, no exceptions. However, currently, corruption and negativity are becoming more and more sophisticated, cases discovered later are often much larger in scale and nature than previous cases.

More worryingly, in many cases, the forces responsible for preventing and fighting corruption, such as inspectors, auditors, and auditors, have committed violations. Voters suggested that it is necessary to strengthen supervision of the prevention and fighting of corruption, strictly handle officials who commit acts of corruption, bribery, or abuse of position and power for personal gain; recover lost state assets; and at the same time, strengthen supervision of the execution of judgments in corruption cases.

Voters and people acknowledge that the Ministry of Health has made great efforts to resolve the issue with necessary legal documents to promote the purchase of medicines and medical equipment to serve the examination and treatment of people in the past time. However, the current reality has not yet met the people's wishes, there are still cases of public hospitals transferring to private hospitals, and there are still cases of prescriptions for outside medicine without using health insurance cards. According to voters and people, the Party's policy of vocational education and orientation of student streaming in general education is very correct, in line with the development trend. However, the implementation process is not synchronous, and the conditions have not been fully prepared, so the streaming is mechanical, not in accordance with the viewpoint and nature of vocational guidance and training. Voters and people are worried, anxious, and concerned about the high prices of input materials for agricultural production such as fertilizers, gasoline, and animal feed, but the products are not sold or sold at low prices. We respectfully request that the Government find solutions to solve the above problems. In addition, the problem of high-tech crimes is increasingly numerous and sophisticated. Although the City Police in particular and the police nationwide have been very active and determined in the fight, the situation of "junk SIMs" and "junk accounts" to defraud and appropriate people's property has not been controlled, causing insecurity among the people. We request that the Government and ministries have more drastic solutions. At the meeting with voters, reviewing the outstanding results and issues that need attention in the situation in the world, in the region and in Vietnam, the President affirmed: Our country has achieved important results with high growth, considered by the world as a bright spot in development, especially in the context of many difficulties. In the field of national defense and security, we have achieved important results. The country's foreign affairs activities are very vibrant, rich, and highly effective in all channels of Party diplomacy, State diplomacy, and people-to-people diplomacy in all localities... The above achievements have increased the country's position and prestige in the international arena. In addition, the work of Party building and rectification, especially the fight against corruption and negative practices, continues to achieve important results. President Vo Van Thuong discussed and answered questions and contents raised, proposed, and recommended by voters and people.

Regarding the work of preventing and combating corruption, President Vo Van Thuong affirmed: We have been very determined and because of that determination, we continue to bring to light many cases of corruption and negativity with serious violations. Recently, voters have been concerned that even inspectors and supervisors have engaged in corruption and negativity. Regarding this issue, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, Head of the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption and negativity, has repeatedly emphasized the need to prevent and combat corruption and negativity right in the agencies performing the task of preventing and combating corruption and negativity, and this work continues to receive attention from the Party and State through specific actions and regulations.

Notably, recently, the Politburo issued Regulation No. 131-QD/TW, dated October 27, 2023, on controlling power, preventing and combating corruption and negativity in inspection, supervision, enforcement of party discipline and in inspection and auditing activities; and Regulation No. 132-QD/TW, dated October 27, 2023, on controlling power, preventing and combating corruption and negativity in investigation, prosecution, trial and execution of judgments... Regarding the concerns of voters and people about the division of education, the President stated: The authorities will aim to create the most favorable conditions for capable and talented students to continue their studies. Others can choose vocational training to continue studying and training and become good citizens... Regarding the efforts of Da Nang city in resolving voters' petitions, the President said that the city's functional agencies are actively resolving voters' opinions and petitions. However, there are some issues that cannot be completely resolved by the city alone, including updating and supplementing legal regulations. Therefore, Da Nang needs to continue to coordinate with central agencies to resolve them, thereby meeting the legitimate demands of voters and promoting Da Nang's development.
