On the evening of June 1, Ho Chi Minh City Children's House held a ceremony to celebrate its 50th anniversary (June 1, 1975 - June 1, 2025) with the theme "Children's House - Where dreams take flight".
Attending the program were: Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; Ms. Nguyen Pham Duy Trang - Secretary of the Central Youth Union, Chairman of the Central Council of Young Pioneers; Mr. Vu Anh Tuan - Director of the Department of Democracy and State Agencies, Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; Mr. Pham Chanh Truc - former Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, former Chairman of the People's Council of Ho Chi Minh City; Mr. Ngo Minh Hai - Secretary of the City Youth Union, Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City.
Also attending were leaders of the Youth Union Council, director of Ho Chi Minh City Children's House, officers and staff of the palaces and children's houses of different periods.

Speaking at the review of the 50-year journey of formation and development of the Ho Chi Minh City Children's House, Mr. Pham Ngoc Tuyen - Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Children's House said that over the past 50 years, this place has discovered, nurtured and given wings to many young talents - future singers, artists, athletes, scientists ..., nurturing dreams, training skills and developing talents for millions of children.
According to Mr. Tuyen, in the near future, the construction of the Ho Chi Minh City Children's Palace in the Thu Thiem New Urban Area will begin, marking an important step in the city's strategy of caring for and comprehensively developing the young generation. The new location will be a place to help children develop their talents, have opportunities to access arts, science, sports , etc., thereby discovering and developing many talents for children, practicing life skills, social communication, teamwork, etc.

The unit will innovate the content, methods of organizing activities, applying technology ineducation ; strengthen connections and sharing with domestic and foreign units, build a friendly, safe and inspiring environment for children; continue to focus on training a team of staff and teachers in charge of children with heart and vision”, Mr. Tuyen informed.

Variety of activities
Speaking at the program, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc emphasized that the city's leaders always consider "investing in children as investing in the future". In the coming time, the city will focus on investing in upgrading facilities, expanding creative spaces; diversifying educational, artistic and sports activities; supporting children in difficult circumstances to access quality learning environments through the establishment of a "Common City Scholarship Fund".
Mr. Duoc called on the community to join hands, fuel the fire, and create overall strength to build the Children's House system into a creative, modern, and friendly educational space, where every child finds joy in learning and has the opportunity to shine.

On this occasion, the Central Youth Union - Central Council of Young Pioneers awarded Flags and Certificates of Merit to the collective of leaders, staff and workers of the Ho Chi Minh City Children's House. The Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union awarded the "For the Young" Badge to the staff and employees of the Ho Chi Minh City Children's House who have made outstanding contributions to the education and training of generations of young pioneers and children in the city.
Ho Chi Minh City Children's House was established on June 1, 1975 at 55 Nguyen Dinh Chieu with the name Children's Club.
On August 26, 1976, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City decided to choose the most beautiful land, right in the city center - at house number 169 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, District 3 to organize activities.
On April 20, 1979, the Children's Club was transformed into the City Children's Cultural House.
On August 2, 1986, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee allowed the conversion of the Children's Cultural House into the City Children's House.
