VNPT ranked top 3 at the world cybersecurity tournament

At the final round of the world's largest cybersecurity tournament on defending and protecting network systems (The International Cybersecurity Championship) recently held in Russia; Vietnam's cybersecurity team VNPT Cyber ​​Immunity reached the top 3, putting Vietnam's name on the world's cyber security gold list.

Held annually with the participation of the world's leading cybersecurity teams, The International Cybersecurity Championship is one of the largest real-world cybersecurity competitions today, focusing on the ability to protect, defend and investigate cyber attacks on a system scale. In 2025, the final round will take place in Russia with strong teams from cybersecurity powerhouses such as Russia, India, Thailand, Belarus, Malaysia...

This year's season brings together 116 teams from nearly 30 countries competing in the qualifying round. Vietnam has many representatives participating such as VCS, NCS, VNPT ... VNPT Cyber ​​Immunity team has excellently passed the qualifying round with the top score in the whole group to officially register for the final round, becoming the only Vietnamese team present in the most fierce round of the tournament.

Before entering the final round, teams must pass the group stage in the CTF (Capture The Flag) format with a series of in-depth challenges such as encryption (Crypto), digital investigation (Forensic), reverse engineering (Reverse Engineering), web exploitation (Web Exploitation), information hiding techniques (Steganography) and many mixed techniques (Joy).

In the group stage, VNPT Cyber ​​Immunity not only surpassed strong opponents, but also had the highest score in all groups, topping Group 3 (42 teams) with 7,200 points. Meanwhile, in Group 1 (44 teams), the Russian team topped with 4,500 points. In Group 2 (31 teams), the Belarus team topped with 5,100 points. This score not only demonstrated the comprehensiveness in terms of expertise, but also showed the combat ability and extremely quick situation handling speed of the VNPT Cyber ​​Immunity team.

Entering the final round, facing fierce competition from the world's leading teams, VNPT Cyber ​​Immunity continued to maintain its form, demonstrating flexible improvisation, sharp tactical thinking and close coordination between members.

Throughout the competition, the VNPT Cyber ​​Immunity team demonstrated their comprehensive capabilities with specialized skills in System Hardening, Blue Team Operations, Reverse Engineering, and King of the Hill.
