On the morning of June 20, a provincial working delegation led by Mr. Hoang Xuan Anh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, inspected National Highway 4A through the 15-storey Khau Coc Cha Pass, Xuan Truong Commune, Bao Lac District. Representatives from a number of departments and branches also accompanied them.

Khau Coc Cha Pass on National Highway 4A was started in June 2023 by the Cao Bang Department of Transport as the investor. The 2.5 km long project has widened the road surface to 5m, paved the entire road surface with asphalt concrete, added a traffic safety system, and created a flat surface at the top of the pass as a parking lot. Currently, the project progress has reached about 70% of the volume, of which the rock breaking has reached 95% of the plan. The remaining volume is mainly the road surface foundation items of about 700m, 2-storey guardrails over 600m and drainage system, cement concrete reinforced curbs. The construction unit is speeding up the progress in 3 shifts with over 20 vehicles, machinery and equipment and 6 teams with over 60 workers.
After the inspection, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Xuan Anh requested the construction unit to overcome all difficulties, take advantage of favorable weather to concentrate human resources, machinery, equipment, and work overtime to urgently speed up the construction progress; clean up the roadway and sidewalks, handle potential traffic safety risks, especially the cliffs, strive to complete the entire construction volume by August and ensure the quality of the project.
