At the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Thanh Do provided general information on the socio -economic development of Dien Bien province in recent years; the establishment of friendly and cooperative relations with 6 provinces of Northern Laos, the northeastern provinces of Thailand, Batna province (Algeria PDR); Saint Petersburg city (Russian Federation) and Yunnan province (China). Dien Bien province is promoting the establishment of cooperative relations with a number of localities of countries such as the Dominican Republic, Japan, South Korea, etc.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Thanh Do hopes that in the coming time, the World University Support Organization and the Hessen Office in Vietnam will continue to be the bridge connecting Dien Bien province with the state of Hessen in general and businesses in the Federal Republic of Germany to bring about cooperation opportunities in areas of mutual interest. The focus is on labor export,education and training, cooperation in training management staff, cooperation in implementing projects on clean water supply and environmental protection. In particular, supporting Dien Bien province in training doctoral students to prepare for the establishment of Dien Bien Phu University; short-term training for management staff, teachers and lecturers of Dien Bien province in the Federal Republic of Germany.
On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Kambiz Ghawami thanked Dien Bien province for its warm welcome; expressed his impression of the development and achievements that Dien Bien province has achieved. Mr. Kambiz Ghawami affirmed that he will continue to cooperate and support Dien Bien province in the fields of education, training, and connecting the province with suitable partners. At the same time, he proposed that Dien Bien province coordinate with the Ministry of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs to establish a working delegation to the Federal Republic of Germany to survey, exchange and work on issues related to labor export; send specialized staff to participate in training courses in the Federal Republic of Germany on waste treatment. The force participating in training and fostering young human resources and training of management staff must know German. At the same time, introduce Dien Bien province to participate in the international tourism fair in the Federal Republic of Germany to promote the province's tourism development potential to businesses in Germany and other countries...
