Happy 50th Anniversary of National Day of the Lao People's Democratic Republic

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the National Day of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (December 2, 1975 - December 2, 2025), on the afternoon of November 25, in Hanoi, the delegation of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) led by Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the VFF and Central organizations Nguyen Phi Long visited and congratulated the Embassy of the Lao People's Democratic Republic in Vietnam.

On behalf of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central organizations Nguyen Phi Long sent best wishes to the Party, State and people of Lao ethnic groups on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of National Day.

Recalling the deep affection between the two peoples, especially the legacy that President Ho Chi Minh and President Kaysone Phomvihane and generations of previous leaders have worked hard to cultivate, Mr. Nguyen Phi Long affirmed that it is the foundation for building the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.

The Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Central organizations congratulated the achievements that the Lao people have attained over the past 50 years, especially under the leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party; and expressed his belief that the Lao Party, State and people will continue to reap more success in the cause of building an independent, peaceful and prosperous country.

The representative of the Vietnam Fatherland Front thanked the Lao Party, State and people for their support, solidarity and loyalty to Vietnam in the cause of national liberation as well as in the cause of national construction and development; emphasizing that today's generations need to continue to preserve and foster the special relationship between the two countries.

Regarding the cooperation between the two Front agencies, Mr. Nguyen Phi Long said that the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Central Committee of the Lao Front for National Construction have maintained effective coordination with 5 signed cooperation agreements. In recent times, the two sides have carried out many practical activities such as friendly exchanges, training and coaching of cadres, and coordinated implementation of socio -economic development programs. On the basis of the comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties and the two States, the Front agencies of the two countries will continue to promote cooperation, contributing to further deepening the special friendship between Vietnam and Laos.

Lao Ambassador to Vietnam Khamphao Ernthavanh thanked the Vietnam Fatherland Front for its special attention and affection for the Lao Party, State and people on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of National Day. The Ambassador affirmed that the congratulations and companionship of the Vietnam Fatherland Front vividly demonstrated the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two nations; at the same time, it was a great source of encouragement for Laos in the cause of national defense and construction and in the process of preparing for the anniversary activities.

Ambassador Khamphao Ernthavanh highly appreciated the effective coordination between the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Lao Front for National Construction, considering these practical activities contributing to enhancing understanding, consolidating solidarity and mutual support. The cooperation programs not only have the meaning of people's diplomacy but also make important contributions to the development of each country.

The Ambassador expressed his hope that the Lao Embassy in Vietnam will continue to closely coordinate with the Vietnam Fatherland Front and relevant agencies to effectively implement cooperation programs agreed upon by the leaders of the two countries, contributing to further deepening the special friendship and meeting the expectations of the people of the two countries.
