Stocks boom, VN-Index increases the most in 11 months

ANTD.VN - VN-Index increased by 35.81 points today - the strongest increase since January 3, all industry groups closed the session in green.

Vietnamese stocks received positive signals from the world market as concerns about rising interest rates eased after the Fed's decision to keep interest rates unchanged.

At the close of the November 1 session, the Dow Jones index increased by 221.71 points, equivalent to an increase of 0.67%, reaching 33,274.58 points. The S&P 500 index increased by 1.05%, to 4,237.86 points. The Nasdaq index increased by 1.64%, reaching 13,061.47 points.

Domestically, this development, along with the recovery in yesterday's session, has reinforced investors' optimism. Demand appearing at the beginning of the session helped the VN-Index increase strongly, surpassing 1,050 points after just over 1 hour of trading.

All stock sectors increased strongly today.

At the end of the morning session, VN-Index increased sharply by 15.74 points (+1.51%), to 1,055.4 points. Total trading volume reached nearly 360 million units, worth VND6,642.6 billion. In the bluechip group, only VNM, VIC, VCB, VJC and BCM decreased slightly by about 1%, HDB stood at reference, the rest all ended the session in green.

HNX-Index today increased by 5.88 points (+2.81%), to 215.54 points. Total matched volume reached more than 62.9 million units, worth VND1,083.4 billion. UPCoM-Index increased by 1.59 points (+1.95%), to 83.29 points.

In the afternoon session, investors' joy "doubled" when the indices continued to rise steadily. Many stocks increased dramatically, of which all 30 stocks in the VN30 group increased. SAB and GVR increased to the ceiling today. Even MWG reversed and increased strongly by 5.4% after 2 consecutive previous floor-fall sessions.

The securities group increased the most with all codes increasing, of which 11 codes hit the ceiling VND, VCI, VIX, FTS, TVS, ORS, VDS... SSI also increased strongly by 6.45%...

The real estate group also had 30 stocks increase to the limit, the most notable of which was NVL. This stock received the good news today that it will be removed from the warning list from tomorrow. All of the more than 26 million shares ordered for sale were cleared and there are still nearly 7 million units waiting to be bought at the ceiling price.

VHM and VIC also escaped the prolonged negative situation today when both increased by 3.9% and 2.6% respectively.

Overall, all stock groups closed the session in the green today. On the HOSE floor, 516 stocks increased, while only 32 stocks decreased. The VN-Index increased strongly by 35.81 points (equivalent to 3.44%) to 1,075.47 points. This is the strongest increase since the increase of more than 36 points on January 3, 2023.

On the floor today, more than 772 million shares were matched, worth more than 14.6 trillion VND. Foreign investors net sold more than 158 billion VND while self-employed traders net bought nearly 250 billion VND.

The HNX floor also traded positively with the HNX-Index increasing by 8.32 points (3.97%) to 217.97 points. There were 176 stocks increasing and 39 stocks decreasing. Liquidity on the HNX also skyrocketed to nearly 2.2 trillion VND.

In contrast to HOSE, foreign investors net bought 170.4 billion VND on HNX today.

UPCoM Index today also increased by 2.27 points, equivalent to 2.78% to 83.97 points.
