At the 2023 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, HD Securities Corporation (HDBS) approved two plans to increase capital from VND 1,023 billion to VND 1,750 billion. Specifically, the first plan will start in the second and third quarters of 2023. HD Securities will offer 20.5 million shares to existing shareholders, corresponding to an issuance ratio of 20%. The offering price will be VND 10,000/share.

The second issuance will take place in the third and fourth quarters of 2023, HDBS will offer 52.2 million individual shares to strategic shareholders. The offering price will be decided by the Board of Directors and will not be lower than VND 10,000/share.
It is expected that after issuing shares, the charter capital of HD Securities will increase to 1,700 billion VND.
However, due to the current unfavorable market situation, the Board of Directors of HDBS has decided to stop implementing the above-mentioned private issuance plan of 72.7 million shares. The suspension of the private issuance plan will be subject to shareholder consultation from September 21, 2023 to October 1, 2023.
Regarding business activities, in the second quarter of 2023, HD Securities achieved revenue of VND 787.2 billion, gross profit of VND 119.1 billion. The unit's after-tax profit reached VND 94.4 billion, an increase of about 40.5% over the same period.
At the end of the second quarter of 2023, HD Securities' total assets reached VND 3,498.5 billion. Owner's equity accounted for VND 1,413.9 billion, equivalent to 40.4% of total assets. Liabilities accounted for VND 2,084.6 billion, equivalent to 59.6% of total assets.
