(Baothanhhoa.vn) - Responding to World Environment Day on June 5, relevant sectors of the province, socio-political organizations, and armed forces in the province have actively deployed the peak month of action for the environment in 2025 from the end of May to the end of June 2025 with the theme "Fighting plastic pollution", calling on the community to take drastic action to "defeat" plastic waste pollution.

According to statistics from the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment , on average, each year the country discharges about 1.8 million tons of plastic waste into the environment, most of which is nylon bags. Of the 1.8 million tons of plastic waste, only about 27% is recycled.
