Series of special art programs to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Southern Liberation - Lang Son Newspaper and Radio and Television Station

Joining the joyful and exciting atmosphere of the country welcoming the "Unification Day", art units under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized a series of special art programs to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day with many attractive art performances, programs and plays, demonstrating the significance, great stature and great value of the Great Spring Victory of 1975.

The series of art programs is implemented in accordance with Plan No. 17-KH/BTGDVTW dated March 14, 2025 of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission on organizing a National Conference to summarize 50 years of Vietnamese literature and art after the country's reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and Plan No. 690/KH-BVHTTDL dated February 23, 2024 of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on organizing activities to summarize 50 years of Vietnamese literature and art after the country's reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) - a brilliant and heroic milestone in the history of the Vietnamese nation.

At the same time, the art programs of the units also aim to preserve and promote fine traditional culture and art, combine tourism development, promote and disseminate traditional Vietnamese art forms to domestic and foreign tourists; strengthen the great national unity bloc, and successfully carry out the country's renovation in the era of national rise.

In a series of special art performances, Vietnam Drama Theater will perform the art program "May with people" with the play "Rubber sandal wearer" on April 27, 2025 and May 17, 2025; the play "White night" from May 18-19-24, 2025, at Vietnam Drama Theater.

The Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra will hold a special concert to celebrate the 50th anniversary of national reunification, under the baton of conductor Honna Tetsuji (Japan) and international piano talent Nguyen Viet Trung, at 8:00 p.m., Monday, April 21, 2025 at the Hanoi Opera House. Featured works: The Return of the Happy Day (Trong Bang), Chopin, Schumann, Wagner. The concert combines historical spirit and the spirit of contemporary cultural exchange.

Vietnam National Music, Dance and Dance Theater will perform the National Symphony - Chamber Concert "Song of Victory" at 8:00 p.m. on April 25, 2025, at Au Co Arts Center, Hanoi, under the baton of Conductor Le Phi Phi, artistic direction: Meritorious Artist Nguyen Hai Linh and artists: Meritorious Artist To Nga, Ha Le, Dao To Loan, Truong Bac... The program aims to honor the spirit of victory and the aspiration for national unification.

Vietnam Circus Federation with the special program "Non song ngay Thong nhat" directed by People's Artist Tong Toan Thang, broadcast live: 8:00 p.m., April 25, 2025 on QPTV and performed from April 26 to May 4 at the Central Circus. The special highlight is the circus combining the image of soldiers, frontier warriors, and the great victory of spring.

Viet Bac Folk Music and Dance Theatre with the program "Vietnam's Triumphant Resounding Song", taking place on April 30 in Hue City. The musical "Going Towards the Sun" will tour in April-May 2025 in Thai Nguyen, Lang Son, and Cao Bang.

Vietnam Cheo Theatre performs classic Cheo plays: Quan Am Thi Kinh, Day Trang Hat Dieu Ky, Bac Le Temple, from March to May 2025, at Kim Ma Theater and on local tours.

Vietnam Puppetry Theatre performs Nursery Rhymes from April 26 and May 3 in Hanoi and Echoes of the Countryside from April 28–29 and May 1 at A Oi Theatre – Phu Quoc.

Vietnam Opera House with "Border Journey 2025", from April 18-20, 2025 in Si Ma Cai district, Lao Cai. Dramatizing the border spirit, combining opera, music, and exchange.

Vietnam National Opera and Ballet (VNOB) with Welcome to Vietnam, April 16 in Hanoi – combining art with tourism promotion. Reunification Spring: April 29 at Independence Palace, Ho Chi Minh City – epic stage combined with contemporary dance.

Vietnam Contemporary Arts Theater with the music night "Memories of Truong Son", written and directed by People's Artist Tran Binh, artistic direction by Meritorious Artist Quynh Trang, at 8:00 p.m., Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Hanoi Opera House. With the participation of famous artists: People's Artist Thanh Hoa, People's Artist Thu Hien, People's Artist Quang Tho, People's Artist Trung Duc, People's Artist Quoc Hung, People's Artist Pham Phuong Thao, People's Artist Hong Hanh, People's Artist Viet Hoan, ...

Vietnam Tuong Theater with the play "Mother's Love", by Scriptwriter: Thuy Linh - Hoang Duc Anh, Director: Chi Lang - Dinh Phong and performed by the Vietnam Tuong Theater Experimental Group, from April 19, 2025 and April 26, 2025, at Hong Ha Theater.

The series of art programs celebrating the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification is not only a commemorative activity, but also an opportunity for art and culture to arouse national pride, fostering patriotism in every Vietnamese citizen today and tomorrow. This is a deep gratitude for the past, a belief in the present, and an aspiration to reach the future of an indomitable and heroic nation.
