In her opening speech, Party Central Committee member and President of the Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Tuyen said: In the flow of history, the ao dai has been an endless source of inspiration for theater, painting, poetry, music and has truly become a unique cultural product, a symbol of the quintessence of Vietnamese culture, containing the beauty of Vietnamese women, carrying the soul of the Vietnamese people.

Since 2019, the Vietnam Women's Union has initiated and coordinated with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize events with the theme "Ao Dai - Vietnamese Cultural Heritage" with the goal of making Ao Dai a national intangible cultural heritage and proposing UNESCO to recognize Ao Dai as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Continuing the journey to bring the values ​​of Ao Dai to become a World Cultural Heritage, the Ao Dai Art program "Fragrance and beauty of Vietnam" is a combination of Ao Dai collections and unique music and dance performances depicting the beauty of Ao Dai and the aspirations of Vietnamese women to reach high and far in the new era.

Creative heritage ao dai collections from talented, dedicated designers who have grown up through the program “Starting a business from ao dai” expressing traditional beauty but still carrying the breath of the times will be performed according to 3 outstanding themes: Quintessence of Vietnamese ao dai, A circle of Vietnam and Fragrance of Vietnam.

“Through this practical activity, the Vietnam Women's Union wishes to contribute to inspiring and spreading meaningful, positive messages about love, national pride, about the country, people and culture of Vietnam to the general public, and at the same time contribute to bringing the values ​​of Ao Dai to be soon recognized as a World Cultural Heritage,” Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen emphasized.

The Ao Dai Art Performance Program with the theme “Fragrance and beauty of Vietnam” contributes to honoring the value of Ao Dai in life, culture and society; at the same time, arousing love, pride and responsibility to preserve and promote the value of Ao Dai heritage and promote the culture, country and people of Vietnam in general and Vietnamese women in particular to many domestic and international friends.

At the program, Ao Dai collections were performed by beauty queens, models, artists, singers, professional dancers and female students from the Vietnam Women's Academy.

The Ao Dai collections presented at the show are all works bearing the mark of national culture, inspired by the treasure trove of Vietnamese cultural heritage, the natural landscapes of the three regions, and the spirit of international cultural exchange, expressing the harmonious beauty between tradition and modernity.

The program is also an opportunity to honor outstanding ao dai designers, representing more than 10,000 female members who have grown up from the training program "Starting a business from ao dai" implemented by the Vietnam Women's Union in collaboration with designer Do Trinh Hoai Nam in the period 2023-2025.

At the program, delegates admired the collection “Ao dai with the logo of the Vietnam Women’s Union” by designer Do Trinh Hoai Nam. The collection was inspired by the dove symbol in the logo - representing peace, freedom and aspiration to reach far.
