At the program, representatives of the Journalists Association of Forest and Environment Protection Magazine disseminated information about the role and significance of forest protection, environmental protection, natural resources, and climate change prevention. Thereby, contributing to raising awareness and responsibility of Party committees, authorities, teachers, students, people, and journalists and businesses on forest and environmental protection, calling on all people to join hands to protect forests and a sustainable living environment. The program aims to respond to World Environment Day on June 5; to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025).
This is also an opportunity for reporters, journalists, journalist members, collaborators and businesses to have a chance to experience reality, learn about historical relics, scenic spots and the lives of ethnic minorities in mountainous, remote and border areas of Cao Bang province.
At the program, the Association of Journalists of Forest and Environment Protection Magazine and accompanying businesses awarded 60 scholarships (each worth 500,000 VND) and 3,000 notebooks, 3,000 milk boxes to students of the following schools: Ngoc Khe Kindergarten, Ngoc Khe Primary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, Ngoc Khe Secondary School; presented 100 LED bulbs to illuminate rural roads to the People's Committee of Ngoc Khe commune, cultural houses of hamlets, Commune Police, Border Guard Station, schools, and Forest Protection Department in Ngoc Khe commune, with a total value of over 90 million VND.
