The Standing Office of the Cao Bang Coordination Committee (Vietnam) held talks with the Inter-sectoral Working Group of the Guangxi Coordination Committee (China) - Cao Bang Electronic Newspaper

On May 15, at the Ban Gioc Waterfall Scenic Area (Vietnam) - Duc Thien (China) on the Chinese side, Comrade Hoang Thai Binh, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism, Chief of the Standing Office of the Cao Bang Coordination Committee (Vietnam) and Comrade Ban Hoa Can, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Head of the Inter-sectoral Working Group, Guangxi Coordination Committee (China) co-chaired the 14th Talks on a number of contents related to tourism development at the Scenic Area.

At the meeting, the two sides summarized and objectively assessed the construction and operation of the Ban Gioc Waterfall Scenic Area (Vietnam) - Duc Thien (China). After the official operation, from September 15, 2024 to May 14, 2025, 14,883 tourists visited the Scenic Area, including 13,152 Chinese tourists entering Vietnam. Security and order were basically ensured, no complicated security and order issues occurred; the activities of picking up and dropping off tourists to and from the Scenic Area were coordinated quite smoothly by the two travel agencies, in compliance with the laws of both sides and the agreed agreements. The two sides actively carried out cultural exchange activities and propaganda and promotion, so that tourists could travel smoothly and stably.

In a friendly and open atmosphere, the two sides discussed the contents of building infrastructure and special works of the Landscape Area, exploiting images to ensure compliance with the General Agreement between the two countries; coordinating to do well the work of managing tourists from both sides; coordinating in resource management, building landscape areas; improving the quality of tourism products; strengthening propaganda and promotion work; coordinating to do well the work of border management on the basis of complying with 3 legal documents on border management as well as the Agreement on cooperation in protecting and exploiting tourism resources of Ban Gioc Waterfall (Vietnam) - Detian (China).

At the end of the talks, representatives of the two sides signed a record of the agreed contents on cooperation and development of the Ban Gioc Waterfall Landscape Area (Vietnam) - Detian (China).

Previously, the two sides conducted a field survey of the area of landmark 835 in the Landscape Area.
