Art program "Dang Thuy Tram - Forever the flame of youth"

On the evening of June 18, at the Quang Ngai Provincial Exhibition and Convention Center, the emotional art program "Dang Thuy Tram - Forever the flame of the twenties" took place. This was an activity to commemorate the 55th anniversary of the heroic martyr, doctor Dang Thuy Tram's sacrifice on the Duc Pho battlefield, Quang Ngai province. Attending the program were Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Hoang Tuan, leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, a number of departments and branches, representatives of the family of the heroic martyr, doctor Dang Thuy Tram, and a large number of people, students and pupils.

The opening of the program was the song “Dreaming of Peace”, a simple yet burning dream in every line of the diary of the Heroic Martyr, Doctor Dang Thuy Tram. The song “Dreaming of Peace”, poem by Thanh Thao, music by Van Phuong, performed by musician Van Phuong, brought the audience to the first emotional notes of the art program “Dang Thuy Tram – Forever the flame of the age of twenty”. The songs “Flame of the age of twenty”, “Thuy oi” expressed the strong vitality of today’s youth generation, those who are continuing the heroic tradition of previous generations. This is like a warm and affectionate call, like an echo from the past, reminding us of an immortal symbol of patriotism. The 3 opening songs of the program helped the audience to feel the spirit of life, fighting and the burning love of Vietnamese youth at one time. Among them, martyr doctor Dang Thuy Tram is one of the most beautiful images.

“This is the affection of us artists for doctor and martyr Dang Thuy Tram as well as the people of Quang Ngai , the land where Ms. Tram worked and sacrificed.”

The stage was staged, recreating the field hospital in Duc Pho battlefield, where Dr. Dang Thuy Tram worked. The hardships, difficulties, and sacrifices in saving and treating wounded soldiers and people in Duc Pho battlefield from 1967 to 1970. She heroically sacrificed herself at a very young age, less than 28 years old with 3 years of working experience and 2 years of Party membership. The play brought the audience an emotional evening, full of contemplation, remembrance, and gratitude for those who fell for peace, for the independence and freedom of the nation.
