The program 'Glory of Vietnam' in 2025 arouses the nation's aspiration to rise up

The event was directed by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor , organized by the Labor Newspaper, and broadcast live on VTV1, Vietnam Television, online on the Labor Newspaper and other platforms.

Member of the Politburo , Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia; Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc attended the program. Also attending were representatives of leaders of central departments, ministries, branches, leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Lao Dong Newspaper through the periods, leaders of units under the General Confederation, representatives of honored collectives and individuals.

Expressing Vietnamese spirit, Vietnamese human values

Speaking at the program, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia affirmed: This is a socio-political activity of profound significance, demonstrating the special attention of the Party, State, Vietnam Fatherland Front , and socio-political organizations to discovering, spreading, and promoting good values in social life, fostering trust, and nurturing the aspiration to contribute to the cause of national construction and development and protecting the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.

On behalf of the Party and State leaders, the Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission congratulated and expressed deep gratitude and admiration for the exemplary collectives and individuals honored. These are the true and vivid embodiments of revolutionary heroism in the new era, of the indomitable Vietnamese spirit, of the resilient will in the face of hardship and challenges, and are vivid evidence of the aspiration to rise up, the mindset of “each person for all”, which always flows, flows strongly in every Vietnamese citizen.

Emphasizing that 2025 will be the year of many particularly important events for the country, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia said that the theme of this year's "Glory of Vietnam" program is not only to honor but also to spread faith and love for the Fatherland, which is an affirmation: Every good person and good deed deserves to be praised, every good action has value in contributing to building the country to be increasingly prosperous, rich, beautiful and happy.

"We are moved by the tearful and proud stories. There are people who have gone through many adversities, but are still determined to rise up. There are people who have spent their whole lives quietly working for the community, not seeking fame or fortune; there are people who, despite being disabled, have not lost their passion for life and their desire to contribute. That is the Vietnamese spirit, the values of Vietnamese people: patriotism, solidarity, self-reliance, loyalty, honesty, responsibility, discipline, and creativity" - Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia shared.

On this occasion, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia called on Party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front, organizations and media agencies to continue spreading good values. Each group, each family and each individual should be a small flame that ignites the spirit of patriotism, innovation, creativity and integration.

"We deeply believe that from today's beautiful flowers, from noble actions in everyday life, from the aspiration to rise up in hardship, we will contribute to spreading and multiplying millions of good actions, millions of patriotic hearts, so that every Vietnamese person can see themselves as a part of the journey to create the future" - Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia expressed.

At the event, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang emphasized: The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, as an organization representing the rights and voices of union members and workers nationwide, always clearly identifies patriotic emulation as a resource, a method and also a goal to promote the country's socio-economic development. By organizing practical, effective emulation movements with strong influence, we persistently cultivate sustainable values for the new-age workforce, who are not only skilled but also have the aspiration to innovate, to master science and technology, to master their own destiny and contribute to the future of the country.

Spread good values in the community

At the program, the Organizing Committee awarded honorary symbols to 13 groups and 6 individuals with outstanding achievements in education, scientific research, production and business, culture and sports; inspirational factors, bringing great spiritual values to society.

The collectives include: Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; Party Committee, government and people of Hai Phong City; State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese, Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Criminal Police Department, Ha Tinh Provincial Police; Drug Crime Investigation Police Department, Ho Chi Minh City Police; Ho Chi Minh City Armed Forces, Military Region 7, Ministry of National Defense; General Department of Defense Industry, Ministry of National Defense; Vietnam Airlines Corporation - Joint Stock Company (Vietnam Airlines); Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank); TH Group Joint Stock Company; Vietnam Vaccine Joint Stock Company (VNVC); Ha Long University, Quang Ninh Province; Cho Ray Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City.

The six individuals honored include: Associate Professor, Doctor Hoang Van Hung, Director of Thai Nguyen University, a typical intellectual of the Tay ethnic group; he has many scientific topics, articles, and textbooks; serving the training of high-quality human resources, developing green economy in mountainous areas.

Dr. Ngo So Phe - the first female Khmer principal of the Southern Khmer Language - Culture - Arts School, she became an intellectual symbol, leading specialized human resources, contributing to transforming cultural heritage into economic and social development strength of the Khmer ethnic region.

Hero of Labor Mai Duc Chung - a legend of Vietnamese women's football. He led the team to win 4 consecutive SEA Games gold medals, entered the final qualifying round for the Tokyo Olympics and participated in the 2023 World Cup for the first time.

Athlete Trinh Thu Vinh - National Shooting Team, achieved many achievements in competition, notably the gold medal at the 2024 Asian Championship and ranked 4th at the 2024 Paris Olympics final.

Dr. Tran Tan Phuong - former Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Soc Trang province, is the co-author of the ST25 rice variety - "The best rice in the world" in 2019 and 2023. He also contributed to creating the fragrant rice varieties ST20, ST24, which are highly appreciated at home and abroad.

Labor Hero Pham Dinh Duan - worker of Vang Danh Coal Joint Stock Company - Vinacomin, has been directly involved in the mine for more than 20 years, has many valuable technical initiatives, and has been honored from the grassroots to the State level.

"Glory of Vietnam" is an event initiated in 2004. Over the past 20 years, the program has honored more than 300 outstanding groups and individuals across the country, thereby spreading the spirit of dedication, overcoming difficulties, serving the Fatherland, serving the people, arousing national pride and self-esteem and the desire to constantly rise of the Vietnamese people. "Glory of Vietnam" in 2025 does not only stop at the meaning of honor, but also contributes to spreading good values, adding motivation and inspiration for every Vietnamese person to dare to dream, dare to commit, dare to contribute for a strong Vietnam.
