CAHN Club retains Van Thanh and Nguyen Filip
Hanoi Police Club (CAHN Club) announced that it has retained two key players, including defender Vu Van Thanh and goalkeeper Nguyen Filip. Both will continue to be with CAHN Club after this season.
This is an important step for CAHN Club, aiming to gradually stabilize the force for the next season. Recently, there was information that The Cong Viettel Club wanted to have Van Thanh's signature to strengthen the right wing. However, CAHN Club kept the pillar born in 1996.

Van Thanh has worn the CAHN shirt since the beginning of the 2023 season. After 3 seasons, the 29-year-old defender has played 70 matches in all competitions, scoring 7 goals. This season, Van Thanh has played 18/21 matches for CAHN in the V-League, and is trusted by coach Alexandre Polking as a right winger. He plays consistently and stably, contributing in both defense and attack.
Goalkeeper Nguyen Filip was also rumored to leave CAHN Club to play in Korea or Japan. However, the 1992-born goalkeeper chose to continue with CAHN Club, because he prioritized a stable life in Vietnam. "Life in Vietnam is comfortable and peaceful, not as bustling as in the Czech Republic. I am enjoying every day here," the 33-year-old goalkeeper revealed to Thanh Nien .

Nguyen Filip also wants to contribute to Vietnamese football after retirement, such as participating in youth training and becoming a goalkeeper coach. At CAHN Club, Filip is highly appreciated for his exemplary and professional character, as he regularly practices extra, improves his physical strength and reflexes to maintain his competitive spirit.
Nguyen Filip has been playing for CAHN since the second leg of the 2023 season. He has started 66 matches in all competitions for the red team over the past 2 years. Nguyen Filip won the 2023 V-League and is aiming for a double of the Southeast Asian C1 and National Cup titles this season with his teammates.
CAHN Club's Ambition
CAHN Club's goal is to win the Southeast Asian Cup 1 and the National Cup. In the Southeast Asian Cup 1, Coach Polking and his team won all 5 matches to lead Group B with 15 points. Yesterday afternoon (May 19), during a training session in Bangkok (Thailand), Coach Polking and his team welcomed a special guest, former Coach Kiatisak Senamuang.
Today, the team will travel to Buriram to practice and get acquainted with the field to complete the final preparations for the second leg of the final.
At the National Cup, CAHN Club reached the semi-finals and will face The Cong Viettel at Hang Day Stadium (CAHN Club plays the role of host).
In V-League, CAHN Club is ranked 5th with 33 points, 4 points behind the top 3. However, coach Polking and his team still have 2 matches left to play.
