Da Nang Club wants to change stadium for play-off with Binh Phuoc

SHB Da Nang believes that organizing the play-off match at Thong Nhat Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City is unreasonable, and proposes to play at Quy Nhon Stadium in Binh Dinh.

Ranked 13th/14th overall in LPBank V-League 2024/25, SHB Da Nang Club played a play-off match with the 2nd team in the First Division, Binh Phuoc . According to the announcement from VPF, this match will take place on June 27 at Thong Nhat Stadium (HCMC).

However, the Han River football team has just sent an official dispatch to VPF and the tournament's organizing committee about changing the stadium. According to SHB Da Nang, the match venue should be considered at a stadium with a suitable geographical location, located between the Central and Southern regions to create favorable travel conditions for the two teams and fans.

SHB Da Nang Club also believes that this adjustment is to ensure fairness and objectivity. According to the proposal of the Han River football team, the match held at Quy Nhon Stadium (Binh Dinh) is appropriate. However, up to now, VPF has not responded to SHB Da Nang's proposal.

Previously, after the victory over SLNA in round 26, coach Le Duc Tuan of SHB Da Nang expressed his opinion: "5 days ago, I received an official dispatch about the plan to organize the play-off match in Ho Chi Minh City. Regarding the administrative boundary between a Central club and a Southern club, that is not reasonable.

According to administrative boundaries, the match should be played in a neutral locality such as Binh Dinh or Nha Trang, or if it is a Northern club, it should be played at Vinh Stadium. I have sent feedback on the match organization plan to VPF and VFF."
