As known, yesterday (April 10), Quang Hai's representative, Michele Donato revealed on his personal page: "I am waiting for a good offer from Thailand".
When fans said that the Thai national championship was "small" compared to Quang Hai's stature, Mr. Donato emphasized: "The Thai football championship is not small. Let's wait for the future to answer."
Immediately, Buaksib newspaper raised questions about Quang Hai's negotiations with Muangthong United Club. The reason is that previously, his former representative had negotiated with this team but did not reach an agreement on salary.
Buaksib wrote: "Before Quang Hai joined Pau FC, Muangthong United expressed their intention to bring this player to Thailand to play. However, the two sides did not reach an agreement on salary. Quang Hai's side requested a higher salary than the amount that Muangthong United could pay."
In the past, Muangthong United spent up to 500,000 USD (nearly 12 billion VND) to recruit Van Lam from Hai Phong Club.
However, at the final stage of the contract, Van Lam and Muangthong United had problems. Finally, after the decision from FIFA, Van Lam was transferred to Japanese club Cerezo Osaka.
According to Buaksib , the previous negotiation did not affect Muangthong United's ambition to recruit Quang Hai, especially when the Vietnamese midfielder already has a new representative.
With the season coming to an end, Quang Hai is looking for a new destination because he has not had the opportunity to play. According to statistics, since the beginning of the season, Quang Hai has only started twice at Pau FC and has appeared as a substitute 10 times (out of 20 times on the bench).
The midfielder born in 1997 only played 254 minutes and has not made a strong impression. Even in 2023, Quang Hai only played 2 matches for Pau FC with a total of 10 minutes.
Quang Hai's chances of playing are getting smaller as Pau FC is struggling to compete for relegation. The club is currently ranked 14th in Ligue 2 with 34 points after 30 matches, just 3 points above the "red light" group. Pau FC only has 8 matches left to "save" its fate.
In the past, there were 2 Vietnamese players who played in Thailand, Dang Van Lam and Luong Xuan Truong. Among them, Van Lam left his mark.
It is known that this week, Quang Hai's representative will have a direct meeting with Pau FC's Board of Directors to discuss the client's future.
