After a 5-0 victory over defending champion Than KSVN, Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club won a ticket to the final round of the 2025 National Cup. In which, Chelsea Lien Le opened the score of the match with a double from Huynh Nhu and goals from Thuy Trang and K'Thua.
In the remaining semi-final yesterday (April 3), Thai Nguyen T&T defeated Phong Phu Ha Nam to compete for the cup with coach Kim Chi's team. However, the final match of the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club on June 6 will not have any overseas Vietnamese participating.
Because right after the semi-final match, Vietnamese-American Chelsea player Lien Le returned to the US to complete personal work on the evening of April 3. She is expected to return when the HCMC Women's Club participates in the AFC Women's Champions League 2024-2025 (Asian Women's C1) in May.

Chelsea said they were sad not to be able to attend the final but believed their teammates would win.
In this tournament, Chelsea had a very good performance and showed off their impressive individual skills against their opponents. In addition, Chelsea also contributed 2 goals despite playing in the midfield position in coach Kim Chi's formation.
Not only Chelsea Lien Le, Ho Chi Minh City FC will also be missing another overseas Vietnamese player, Ashley Tram Anh, in the final match. Previously, Ashley returned to the US to focus on her graduation exam in early May right after the group stage. It is expected that after completing the exam, she will return to join the team, ready for the semi-finals of the 2024-2025 Asian Women's C1.
Thus, HCMC will not have any overseas Vietnamese players in the National Cup final. Both Chelsea players Lien Le and Ashley Tram Anh aim to return strongly to help the team compete well in the continental arena.
