Girl wins 5 scholarships in Australia, determined to return to Vietnam to start a career
Báo Dân trí•10/03/2024
(Dan Tri) - After a period of living and having a good job in Australia, Man Nhi revealed the reason why she did not hesitate to decide to return to Vietnam to seek new opportunities.
Pham Man Nhi (born in 2000, Hanoi ) graduated with a major in Communications from Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. She was the former head of the international student support department of the Vietnam International Student Association in New South Wales and owns a YouTube channel with more than 93,000 subscribers. Not only is she beautiful, but she also attracted the attention of the online community when she won 5 consecutive valuable scholarships at universities in Australia, including: University of Sydney, Western Sydney University, University of Wollongong, Macquarie University and Monash University. After a period of studying, living and working in Australia, Man Nhi decided to return to Vietnam to find new directions for herself. Busy with her schedule at the beginning of the new year, the female YouTuber had time to sit down and share with Dan Tri reporters about her recent meaningful journey.
Few people know that Man Nhi successfully won 5 scholarships to study in Australia.
Talking about the two most memorable moments of the past year, Man Nhi said that she could not forget the memories of the first time she became a full-time office worker in Australia in February 2023. Because, since she was a student majoring in Communications, Man Nhi dreamed of having the opportunity to work at an agency (a company providing advertising and communications solutions and services). Friends often told Man Nhi that applying for a job at a media company in Australia is not simple. The local people themselves have a very high competition rate, so for an international student like her, it was many times more difficult. During her studies, the Dragon girl was quite worried and pressured when she decided to nurture this dream. After going through difficulties and hardships with a lot of effort and hard work, she was lucky to pass the rigorous selection round and work at the media company she loved.
The next memorable mark for Man Nhi was her choice to return to her homeland after a year of working in Australia. Sharing the reason for this decision, she said: "Actually, many close people around me asked me why I returned to Vietnam. Most international students tend to settle in Australia, but I myself am a family-oriented person and especially love the pace of life in Vietnam, so I chose to return home." Returning to Vietnam to live was a decision that Man Nhi had to ponder over for the past few years, but it was made in exactly one month. The preparation process for the "new journey" took place quickly, smoothly and became a special mark in her youth. Man Nhi did not think too much about the regrets that happened in her life. When starting to do something, she often prepared herself mentally to deal with the worst case scenario. Even when unexpected things happen, she still happily accepts them and calmly finds the most effective solution. After a year of entering the labor market, Man Nhi confided: "With the practical experience I have accumulated, I realize that during my studies, students should spend time working part-time to experience jobs corresponding to their current field of study." Looking back on the past, Man Nhi was fortunate to have been exposed to the media industry quite a lot, has a personal YouTube channel and has carried out many personal projects related to this field. That is what helped her successfully convince the media company in Australia.

With the current situation, it is quite difficult for new graduates to find jobs. This unintentionally creates pressure, making them feel discouraged on the path to finding development opportunities. According to Man Nhi, the Gen Z generation (those born between 1997 and 2012) needs to be persistent with their own choices and decisions in the future. As long as they do not get discouraged, try to overcome their weaknesses, know how to stand up from their failures, and accumulate practical experience, they will certainly have a good and stable job. With this return, Nhi has many dreams and ambitions that she wants to realize in her homeland. The girl born in 2000 confided: "Vietnam is a developing country, so it creates many opportunities for young people like me to try and start doing new things. Returning to Vietnam - the place that I have been attached to since childhood - is the perfect choice for me to develop and make the most of all my skills."
Man Nhi feels happy to be with her family during the Tet Giap Thin holiday.
Having had to celebrate the New Year away from home three times, for Man Nhi, the recent Giap Thin Tet holiday had a very special meaning. It had been a long time since the girl from Hanoi had felt the bustling feeling, quickly completing all the work to prepare each small decoration item for her family. "As a child far from home who was able to return to Vietnam on the occasion of the Lunar New Year, I am very happy and excited to have the opportunity to be with my family during this moment of transition to the new year. It has been a long time since I had the feeling of receiving lucky money, bathing in coriander leaves, and eating traditional dishes made by my relatives. Only after many years away from home, did I truly understand and appreciate each of these small moments more." As someone born in 2000, Man Nhi hopes that in the Giap Thin year, she will become stronger and shine more like the image of the resilient Dragons.
