Previously, a clip by NYQ was circulated on social media, reflecting that she was refused a room at a hotel on Hang Chao Street (O Cho Dua Ward) even though she had paid the full cost for a 3-day stay (from November 7 to 10).
According to the report, due to the impact of the storm, the trip to Hanoi was delayed, and Ms. Q. did not arrive at the hotel until the early morning of November 8 to check in. However, the receptionist informed her that the room had been rented to another guest because she arrived late.
"I paid in full and had the right to check in. The hotel did not notify me in advance about the room reservation or check-in time. In the rain and wind, I arrived at 2 a.m. but I was not supported or apologized" - Ms. Q. expressed her anger on social media.
Unable to get a room, Ms. Q. had to hire a taxi to find another place to stay for the night. Frustrated by the hotel's treatment, she posted the incident on social media to warn people.
On November 10, the hotel proactively contacted Ms. Q. and offered to refund the amount paid. However, Ms. Q. said she was not satisfied with the solution.
After the news spread, many people expressed sympathy for the female customer and were upset with the hotel's handling of the situation. Many accounts left comments and gave the accommodation a 1-star rating.
