On October 21, information from the Dak Lak Department of Construction said that the first social housing project for workers in the province has just started construction.

The project has a total floor area of about 30,000m2 on a construction area of more than 10,000m2 with a total investment of 212 billion VND belonging to the An Phu urban area project (Tan An ward, Buon Ma Thuot city).
According to the design, the social housing project has a total of 9 3-storey buildings, with 330 apartments, arranged with 1-2 bedrooms. The buildings all face the main facade of the urban area, with full ancillary items, such as parking lots, elevators, fire protection, and open space.
Each apartment is priced at 600-900 million VND depending on location. Home buyers pay 30%, the rest is supported by bank loans with preferential interest rates, term up to 25 years.
Workers only need to pay 30% of the apartment value and pay about 4 million VND/month to own the apartment immediately (Photo: An Phu).
Thus, each working family can rest assured to own long-term social housing, with monthly interest and principal payments of less than 4 million VND.
With this information, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Ngoc (38 years old, mechanical workshop worker) said that he quickly registered and is waiting for confirmation whether he is eligible to buy an apartment or not.
"I registered to buy an apartment for about 700 million VND, my family spent over 200 million VND to buy, the rest is a long-term loan. I think this is the optimal solution for people with an income of 7-10 million VND/month like us," Mr. Hoang shared.
It is known that the investor will coordinate with the Dak Lak Department of Construction to identify workers eligible to buy social housing. The project is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2024.
