Lieutenant Colonel Bui Huy Khanh, Head of the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department of the Provincial Police, said that the unit has mobilized over 100 officers and soldiers, 18 vehicles, boats, and various types of rescue equipment; coordinated with the professional departments of the Provincial Police, the army, and local forces to carry out rescue work in the communes of Bac Son, Tan Tien, That Khe, Huu Lung, and Van Nham.
The unit has supported the evacuation of more than 200 trapped people, including many elderly people and children, and the relocation of many valuable assets in flooded areas to safety; coordinated with local authorities to distribute food, drinking water and necessities to isolated households...
The Mobile Police Force dispatched 70 officers and soldiers, along with many vehicles, to participate in the rescue operations in That Khe and Huu Lung communes. In That Khe commune alone, this unit rescued 38 people, including 4 elderly people, 34 women and children, along with many objects and properties from dangerous flooded areas to safety.
With the spirit of cleaning up as the flood receded, the Mobile Police force promptly brought over 100 people back home after the flood receded and helped clean up their houses and belongings; transported hundreds of boxes of purified water and instant noodles to help families affected by flooding...

Lang Son Provincial Police still implement the "4 on-site" motto; organize rescue and relief to quickly overcome the consequences of damage when situations occur; supply necessities to flooded households, helping people overcome difficulties. In addition to the task of participating in rescue operations for cases in need of assistance, the grassroots police force has arranged officers and soldiers to be on duty at deep flooded areas and flooded culverts to ensure absolute safety for the people.
According to a quick report from the communes and wards of Lang Son province, as of 4 p.m. on October 8, floods had injured 3 people. The whole province has about 4,000 households whose houses were affected, of which 6 houses collapsed, 1 house was severely damaged, 1,971 houses were flooded, 1,751 houses were isolated, 197 houses were damaged by landslides, 43 houses were at risk of landslides, and 31 outbuildings were damaged.
In the province, there are more than 500 traffic points with landslides and flooding. Heavy rains also caused widespread flooding in the communes of Yen Binh, Van Nham, Huu Lung, Tuan Son, Cai Kinh, That Khe, Trang Dinh, Quoc Viet... Many bridges, culverts and roads were partially flooded, with landslides of over 20,000m³.
