Tien Giang Provincial Police organizes first-ever car driving test

Accordingly, Tien Giang Provincial Police organized an examination for 144 candidates who completed the training program for driving cars of classes B and C at the Song Tien Driving Training and Examination Center.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Da, Deputy Head of the Traffic Police Department - Tien Giang Provincial Police, said that the transfer of the task of testing and granting driving licenses from the Department of Transport (now the Department of Construction) to the Provincial Police (Traffic Police Department) was carried out based on Circular 12/2025/TT-BCA of the Ministry of Public Security and guiding documents of the Traffic Police Department.

"In the process of performing our duties, we always aim to ensure fairness, objectivity and compliance with regulations for all candidates. Officers and soldiers will strictly implement the rules, regulations and discipline in the theoretical and simulation tests, as well as in the practical test. In the coming time, the unit will continue to advise the leaders of the Provincial Police to organize the next tests, in order to create favorable conditions as soon as possible for people who need to be tested for a Driver's License" - Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Da added.

Director of Song Tien Driver Training and Testing Center Nguyen Van Thai said: "In the coming time, our center will continue to focus on serving the needs of learning and taking the Driver's License exam of people in My Tho City and neighboring areas, with the current focus on classes B and C. We see that the demand for learning driver's licenses of these two classes is expected to increase sharply after adjustments to the standards.

To meet this change, immediately after resolving the current backlog, especially for the C-class exams, Song Tien Driver Training and Testing Center will quickly renovate and complete the facilities according to new standards to be ready to train all B, C1 and C classes. With this investment, Song Tien Driver Training and Testing Center aims to become the first unit in Tien Giang capable of fully training all B, C1 and C classes in the future, meeting the diverse needs of learners."

The control room directly supervises the candidates in the practical exam.

Mr. Nguyen Van Thai added: "Regarding training capacity, the center can currently receive and train about 150 students per month. In the first year of operation, the center trained about 1,000 students. This year, the center plans to improve its capacity and train about 3,000 students. With this volume, Song Tien Driver Training and Testing Center can fully meet the increasing demand for learning and taking driving license exams of people in Tien Giang province."
