Announcing the 2025 HDBank Student Futsal Tournament in Ho Chi Minh City

On October 28, in Ho Chi Minh City, Voice of Vietnam (VOV) held the announcement ceremony of the 2025 Ho Chi Minh City Student Futsal Tournament. This is a tournament following the success of the 2024 Hanoi Student Futsal Tournament.

The tournament was organized by the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City University and Professional Sports Association; Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry to create a national futsal playground for students and young people and at the same time further promote this sport.

Taking place from November 4 to 12, the tournament will have 12 participating teams divided into 4 groups, each group consists of 3 teams, competing in a round-robin format to calculate ranking points. The first and second teams in each group will advance to the quarter-finals, then to the semi-finals and the final.

The matches will take place at the Gymnasium of Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry (Ward 33, Linh Xuan Ward, Ho Chi Minh City).

Representatives of the football teams drew lots to divide into groups to compete at the announcement ceremony.

At the announcement ceremony, Mr. Vu Hai Quang, Deputy General Director of Voice of Vietnam, Head of the Steering Committee of the award said: VOV organizes this tournament not only to create a simple sports playground, but also to contribute to building a comprehensive development environment for students, a place to practice physical fitness along with team spirit and the will to overcome difficulties.

Looking back on the past journey, from Can Tho, Tay Nguyen, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City,... the Student Futsal seasons have left a special mark. Each team not only represents the school, but also carries within it the pride, the desire to conquer and the fair-play spirit of youth.

Regarding the award structure, the teams with high achievements will receive Cups, medals, honorary plaques and bonuses depending on their achievements.
