The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has announced a logo design for use and promotion throughout the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
Implementing the direction of the Central Steering Committee to celebrate major holidays and important historical events of the country in the 3 years 2023-2025 on assigning the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of National Defense and the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City to develop a logo model for official use in propaganda activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has completed the construction of the logo as directed and sent it to agencies and units for use and propaganda.
The logo is designed from the stylized number 50, expressing the message of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day. The logo has red as the main color, representing revolutionary enthusiasm, courage, resilience, solidarity, heroic strength, and the color of victory. Blue represents peace and happiness.
Number 50 is closely linked together as a block, demonstrating the strength of national solidarity, the steadfast determination, overcoming all hardships and sacrifices of our army and people that created the Great Victory of Spring 1975.
Number 5 bears the image of the national flag symbolizing the Northern rear, the place that supports, provides human and material resources, and a solid spiritual support for the people, cadres, and soldiers on the Southern frontline, contributing significantly to the glorious victory of the resistance war against American imperialism to save the country.
Number 0 has the shape of a bird flying up, symbolizing a peaceful Fatherland, marking the independence, freedom and peace of the nation, and expressing the happiness and joyful spirit of the victory of the whole nation.
The lower part of number 50 has the image of the Liberation flag flying on the roof of the Independence Palace, representing the unified country, national pride, revolutionary enthusiasm, solidarity and aspiration for peace and happiness of the Vietnamese people.
The image not only has a profound educational meaning about the revolutionary tradition for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland for the young generation of Vietnam, but also adds motivation and strength for each citizen to continuously work and contribute to continue writing the heroic history of the nation, building and firmly protecting the Fatherland of Vietnam.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has sent agencies and units a sample logo for use and promotion throughout the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, ensuring accuracy and consistency./.
