Accordingly, the enrollment target of each school is 200 students/5 classes; the admission process is conducted in 2 rounds: profile assessment and capacity assessment. The profile score is equal to the total final score of 3 years of grades 3, 4, 5 divided by 13. Students with a profile score of 8.5 or higher (for students applying to Le Quy Don Secondary School) and 8.0 or higher (for students applying to Ly Tu Trong Secondary School) will be eligible for selection to round 2 of student capacity assessment.

The competency assessment for 6th grade students of the two schools includes 3 subjects: Math, Vietnamese, English. The admission score is calculated by the total competency assessment score of 3 subjects plus priority points. The registration period is from May 21 to May 22, 2025; the competency assessment test will be held on May 27 and the list of successful candidates will be announced on June 13, 2025.
