On May 15, Hanoi National University organized the Science , Technology and Innovation Conference 2025 and announced the cooperation agreement/contract to implement science, technology and innovation tasks.
Reporting on the results of science, technology and innovation activities in 2024 of Hanoi National University, Head of the Department of Science and Innovation Tran Thi Thanh Tu said that with nearly 50 strong research groups, this university continuously improves the quality of international publications, while providing outstanding financial support to outstanding scientists, contributing to a nearly 20% increase in the number of publications in the past year.

In the 2024-2025 period, the science, technology and innovation activities of Hanoi National University have achieved many remarkable results. The "three-house" cooperation model between the State - University - Enterprise is focused on, with many spin-off enterprises established and effective international cooperation research and development projects.
In terms of finance, science and technology funding in 2025 will be doubled, along with a sharp increase in non-budgetary capital, creating favorable conditions for research groups to carry out key tasks.

Director of the National University Le Quan affirmed that developing science, technology, innovation and digital transformation are decisive factors for the development of countries, and are a strategic step for Vietnam to take advantage of opportunities and overcome challenges in the digital age.
The implementation of Resolution 57 of the Politburo and the Action Program under Resolution 03 of the Government is of great significance to the development of Vietnam National University, Hanoi in particular and Vietnamese higher education in general.
Director Le Quan affirmed that Hanoi National University is committed to continuing to promote the implementation of the Action Program according to Resolution 57, focusing on innovation, effectively connecting the three parties to promote the transfer of knowledge, scientific and technological products into practice.
On this occasion, Hanoi National University announced the Decision to establish the Institute of Semiconductors and Advanced Materials, the Institute of Quantum Technology, and the Institute for Applied Research on Artificial Intelligence in Sustainable Development under the High-Tech and Innovation Park.
These research institutes are expected to create a closely linked ecosystem between research - training - technology transfer - innovation.
The leaders of Hanoi National University have awarded the Hanoi National University Prize for Science and Technology in 2024 to a group of authors from the Institute of Microbiology and Biotechnology for their work "Research on simultaneous treatment of ammonium and COD in wastewater using the Feammox process". This is an award to encourage and honor scientific and technological works or clusters of works, held every 3 years.
