On October 17, the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) held a ceremony to announce the Prime Minister's decision to appoint Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Tran Hong Thai.
In Decision No. 1179/QD-TTg dated October 12, 2023, the Prime Minister assigned and appointed Mr. Tran Hong Thai - General Director of the General Department of Hydrometeorology, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment - to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Science and Technology.
Speaking at the decision-giving ceremony, Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat emphasized that the coming period requires state management of science and technology to continue to strongly innovate thinking, continue to perfect institutions, and remove difficulties and obstacles.
From there, all potentials and resources are aroused, creating new momentum for the development of science and technology and innovation of the country, associated with the strong application of achievements of the fourth industrial revolution.
To concretize the above work contents, from now until the end of the year, the work of the industry and the Ministry of Science and Technology is still very busy, requiring high determination, daring to think, daring to do; at the same time, it is necessary to tighten administrative discipline and internal solidarity.
The Minister believes that with his working process, efforts and training through many different positions, the new Deputy Minister Tran Hong Thai will quickly approach and grasp the work, and successfully complete the immediate and long-term tasks.
With the above transfer and appointment decision, the Ministry of Science and Technology currently has 4 Deputy Ministers including: Deputy Minister Bui The Duy, Deputy Minister Le Xuan Dinh, Deputy Minister Nguyen Hoang Giang and Deputy Minister Tran Hong Thai.
