Announcing the decision to establish Dong Nai Market Management Department under the Department of Industry and Trade

(DN) - On April 22, the Provincial People's Committee held a ceremony to announce decisions on the organization and personnel of the Department of Industry and Trade.

At the ceremony, authorized by the Provincial People's Committee, the representative of the Department of Home Affairs announced Decision No. 906/QD-UBND on approving the Project to arrange and streamline the organizational structure of the Department of Industry and Trade (administrative sector) and Decision No. 1010/QD-UBND on establishing the Dong Nai Market Management Department (QLTT) under the Department of Industry and Trade of Dong Nai province, on the basis of receiving the Market Management Department from the General Department of Market Management under the Department of Industry and Trade.

The Department has the function of state management and law enforcement on prevention, combat and handling of acts: trading in smuggled goods; Production and trade of counterfeit goods, prohibited goods, goods of unknown origin; infringement of intellectual property rights; violations of laws on quality, measurement, price, food safety; violations of laws on consumer protection and acts of commercial fraud according to the provisions of law in Dong Nai province.

Along with that, the Department of Industry and Trade also announced the decisions on accepting and appointing Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc, Director of the Department of Market Management, to hold the position of Director of the Department of Market Management; and accepting and appointing Mr. Tran Van Tuan, Deputy Director of the Department of Market Management, to hold the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Market Management. The term of appointment for the above positions is 5 years, starting from March 1, 2025.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Duong Minh Dung requested Dong Nai Market Management Department to promote the results achieved in the past time, especially in coordination with units and localities. At the same time, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also assigned tasks for the Department to focus on implementing in the coming time. In particular, Dong Nai Market Management Department needs to assign work clearly, to the right position, right person, right job to promote capacity, as well as create high solidarity and unity.

In addition, in the fight against counterfeit goods, banned goods, and trade fraud, the Department must be responsible for protecting the legitimate interests of the people, businesses, and enterprises. At the same time, resolutely fight against violations that cause consequences for society and the people.

Regarding the Department of Industry and Trade, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Duong Minh Dung requested the Department to pay attention to directing and perfecting the Dong Nai Market Management Department, and at the same time assign a deputy director to be in charge of leading and directing the Department, proactively removing difficulties and obstacles, and creating all favorable conditions for the Department to operate.
