Announcing a natural disaster emergency situation at the bridge on Ho Chi Minh road

On November 5, the Ministry of Construction announced a natural disaster emergency to repair damage to traffic infrastructure in the area of ​​Km 396+050 Ho Chi Minh Road - West branch bridge through Hue city, under the management of Road Management Area II due to the impact of storm No. 12 and the rain and floods caused by the storm from October 22 to November 2.

According to the announcement of the Ministry of Construction , the natural disaster situation causing damage to traffic infrastructure in the area of ​​Km 396+050 bridge, Ho Chi Minh road, West branch through Hue city, poses a direct threat to the safety of people and vehicles participating in road traffic.

The time of the natural disaster for the Vietnam Road Administration to review and specifically determine the damage to the traffic infrastructure of the national highway system and issue an order to build urgent works to overcome the consequences of the natural disaster is determined from October 22 to November 2. The Ministry of Construction requests agencies and units, according to their assigned functions and tasks, to carry out activities to overcome the consequences of natural disasters according to regulations.

The Vietnam Road Administration, Road Management Area II is required to carry out activities to overcome the consequences of natural disasters. In particular, review and determine the specific level of damage to road works caused by natural disasters, repair and remedial solutions and issue an Order to build emergency works to overcome the consequences of natural disasters according to the provisions of law. When completing the construction of emergency works, overcoming the consequences of natural disasters according to the above-mentioned natural disaster emergency situation, the Vietnam Road Administration reports to the Ministry of Construction as a basis for considering announcing the end of the natural disaster emergency situation.

The Director of the Vietnam Road Administration and the Director of Road Management Area II are responsible to the Minister of Construction for the reported damage and deterioration of traffic infrastructure in the area of ​​Km 396+050 bridge of Ho Chi Minh road, West branch, through Hue city caused by storm No. 12 and the rain and floods after the storm from October 22 to November 2.

The Department of Transport and Traffic Safety is responsible for urging and directing agencies and units in implementing measures to overcome the consequences of natural disasters on road traffic infrastructure.
