Hoa Binh Health Sector Trade Union: Diversifying activities to care for union members, spreading the spirit of learning from Uncle Ho

The Health Sector Trade Union coordinated to organize the 2025 Nursing, Midwifery, and Medical Technician Competition in the form of a golden bell, attracting a large number of union members to participate.

The year 2025 marks the 70th anniversary of the glorious tradition of the Vietnamese Health sector (February 27, 1955 - February 27, 2025). The provincial Health sector organizes many activities with the theme "Hoa Binh Provincial Health Sector - 70 years of following Uncle Ho's teachings". Accordingly, the Trade Union organizes many practical and meaningful activities such as: Arts Festival; "Golden Bell" Competition on nursing, midwifery, and medical techniques to improve qualifications and honor skilled cadres...

With more than 4,320 union members operating at 40 grassroots unions, the Hoa Binh Health Sector Union has implemented many programs to care for union members throughout 2024 and early 2025. Notably, on the occasion of Tet 2024 and 2025, the Union presented 470 gifts worth 284 million VND to officials, union members in difficult circumstances and people in extremely difficult communes. The "Union Tet Market" program launched by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor was also effectively implemented, with 205 union members in difficult circumstances receiving support of 500,000 VND via credit cards to shop online. In addition, the Union coordinated with the Department of Health to organize gift giving and medical examination and treatment for 300 people in Xuat Hoa and Yen Phu communes, Lac Son district. On the occasion of Workers' Month 2024, the Industry Union presented 34 gifts to disadvantaged workers, supported 1 special case and organized a "Union Meal" for 40 union members of Yen Thuy District Medical Center. The Industry Union organized the handover of 2 "Union Shelters" worth 80 million VND to union members in difficult circumstances; provided emergency support to union members' families affected by landslides in Da Bac district with a total amount of 93 million VND and coordinated the relief of 953 boxes of essential goods to disadvantaged areas. In addition, sports and cultural movements also took place enthusiastically, contributing to improving the spiritual life and uniting cadres and union members in the industry.

Comrade Le Duy Long, Chairman of the Hoa Binh Health Sector Trade Union, shared: The sector's trade union is constantly striving to innovate its methods of operation, taking union members as the center, focusing on real concern. Learning from Uncle Ho is not only a slogan but also a guideline for action in every small thing, from union meals, houses for poor union members, to meaningful competitions...

In particular, studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle has been identified by the Hoa Binh Health Sector Trade Union as a key task. 100% of cadres and union members, especially party members, are organized to study, thoroughly understand and commit to seriously implementing the contents in the spirit of Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW and the Party's resolutions. Evaluating the results of studying Uncle Ho has become a core criterion for evaluating the quality of cadres and union members. Many exemplary collectives and individuals have been commended and rewarded. In 2024, the Industry Trade Union was awarded the Emulation Flag for Excellent Unit by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and recognized as an Excellent Labor Collective. Recently, the Industry Trade Union was awarded a certificate of merit by the Provincial People's Committee for its outstanding achievements in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle.
