One of the medical technologies highlighted at the EXPO 2025 World Exhibition is the “Future of Sleep” exhibition area, which introduces a sensor-equipped bed that can adjust the sleeping environment to each individual’s unique needs to achieve optimal sleep.

The “Future of Sleep” device envisions a future where the mechanics of sleep are clarified and an individual’s bed and entire sleep environment can adjust to their physical condition for optimal sleep.

Equipped with sensors that adapt to each person's physical condition, this bed uses advanced technology to monitor and personalize the sleeping environment.

Pasona Group has organized an interactive exhibition called “The Future of Sleep” inviting visitors to experience this high-tech bed.

Along with introducing the sensor-equipped bed and explaining the technologies, booth visitors can lie on this high-tech bed and experience a sleep assessment simulation using sensors.

When an individual lies down on this bed, the screen above will display parameters about the person's current physical condition. Then, advanced sensors will adjust to each individual's physical condition to improve sleep quality.

Depending on each individual's physical condition, factors such as light, sound and mattress angle will automatically adapt to promote deeper sleep and a more comfortable waking experience.

Visitors can explore sleep assessment simulations, experiencing first-hand how cutting-edge technology can create the optimal sleep environment.

Sharing her experience with VNA reporters, Ms. Fukuda said: “In fact, there is no need to attach any device to my body, I just lie down and watch my breathing, heart rate and even body movements in the form of numbers. When you actually lie down, you will feel like you are sleeping on a cloud and completely enveloped.”

The “Future of Sleep” exhibition presents a future in which the mechanisms of sleep are clarified. An individual’s bed and entire sleep environment can adapt to their physical condition for optimal sleep.

Sleep science expert Dr. Masaru Mimura, professor emeritus, Keio University School of Medicine, said the “Future of Sleep” exhibition aims to promote health through innovative sleep solutions, in line with Pasona’s commitment to social health and sustainability./.
