On the afternoon of June 2, the Vietnamese team received positive signals when three players Cong Phuong, Duc Chien and Dinh Trieu all returned to normal training with the team after two separate recovery sessions at the hotel. Before that, all three had signs of mild muscle strain and were given a break by the coaching staff to avoid the risk of overload or more serious injuries. This is a reasonable cautious step, especially in the context that the Vietnamese team needs to maintain a stable force and have thorough preparation for the upcoming match with Malaysia.
Notably, this is the first time since the opening training session on May 30 that the Vietnamese team has had enough players on the field to practice. Previously, Ly Duc was promoted from U22 Vietnam but it was not until June 1 that the player under HAGL's management had his first training session with the team. According to the young midfielder, he still practiced with U22 Vietnam on May 30 because there was no transfer announcement from the coaching staff.

Ly Duc adapted quite quickly to the training environment at a higher level. Because he was called up to the national team at the gathering in March. Coach Kim Sang-sik's giving Ly Duc a chance shows that he is calculating long-term personnel plans, while creating opportunities for new faces to compete in the context of the defense lacking quality backup options.
Along with Ly Duc, the group of players from CAHN and Binh Duong also had their second training session after gathering late due to having to make up for the match in V.League. Although there have only been a few training sessions with the whole team, the full presence of the key players has helped the Korean strategist start to deploy tactical exercises in a more synchronous and effective manner.
Having enough players on hand allows the coaching staff to have a more accurate view of the squad situation, and at the same time adjust the tactical plan appropriately for the important match against Malaysia on June 10. After a period of warming up and assessing the players' physical condition, the peak stage of tactical preparation for the Vietnam team is officially beginning.
