Road Management and Construction Joint Stock Company 470 was formerly a State-owned enterprise under Road Management Zone II (Vietnam Road Administration), now converted to a joint stock company model.

Road Management and Construction Joint Stock Company 470, formerly known as Road Maintenance Section 1 Nghe An, was established by the Chairman of Nghe An Provincial Administrative Committee in early 1969 with the agreement of the Ministry of Transport and Nghe An Provincial Administrative Committee.

After the day the US imperialists bombed the North (August 5, 1964), the mission of the national transportation industry fundamentally changed to respond to the war situation.

The Nghe An Road Maintenance Section I was born for that reason. From the policy of the Central Government, the Ministry of Transport together with the Vietnam Road Administration established Road Management Sections throughout the North to cope with the war (following the Party's people's war policy).

Established for a year, the organization has just stabilized, the subordinate units have overcome difficulties and challenges to complete the task well. However, with a large area like Nghe An, many cross-road routes, the enemy's attacks are increasingly fierce, and transportation is the enemy's focus, keeping the organization as Road Maintenance Section 1 is too large, difficult to meet the task requirements. Therefore, in early 1975, according to the decision of the superiors, Road Maintenance Section I was divided into 2 Sections: Road Management Section I and Road Management Section 15.

After the war, vehicles increased rapidly, and the load was heavy, resulting in the rapid destruction of roads. The work of ensuring traffic began again in a new period, no less difficult and arduous, sometimes having to eat in the dust, sleep on the roadside, and take turns to resolve traffic jams to ensure smooth traffic.

Due to organizational requirements, in August 1983, "Road Management Section I" was transferred to the Union of Transport Enterprises 4 and renamed "Road Enterprise 470". In January 1990, it was renamed "Road Management Subdivision 470".

In 1991, according to Decision No. 2775/QD-TCCB.LĐ dated December 25, 1991 of the Ministry of Transport, "Road Enterprise 470" was renamed "Road Management Sub-Division 470" under the Road Management Zone IV. At this time, the unit was assigned the task of managing and exploiting National Highway 1A from Km383 - Km468 and managing National Highway 46 from Km0 - Km74+500; In addition, it also built major renovation works in the management area. The lives of officers and employees in the Company encountered many difficulties, but the Company still excellently completed the assigned task of ensuring that the managed routes were always open under all conditions.

By 1998, due to the growth in scale of operations, Road Management Division 470 was renamed Road Management and Repair Company 470 according to Decision No. 489/1998/QD-TCCB-LD dated March 25, 1998 of the Ministry of Transport.

By 2005, implementing Decision No. 95/2005/QD-TTg dated May 6, 2005 of the Prime Minister on adjusting the plan to arrange and innovate State-owned enterprises under the Ministry of Transport, Road Management and Repair Company 470 was equitized into Road Management and Construction Joint Stock Company 470, operating from August 2006 to present.

The company is responsible for managing, exploiting and constructing road traffic works on National Highway 1, National Highway 46, National Highway 46B in Nghe An province and Ho Chi Minh Road in Thanh Hoa province; ensuring smooth traffic safety, preventing encroachment and re-encroachment of nearly 300 km of road traffic safety corridors, and at the same time carrying out basic construction, major repairs and renovations of traffic works.

After more than 50 years of construction and growth, fluctuations in different environments, Road Management and Construction Joint Stock Company 470 today with more than 160 officers, workers and employees has participated in the management, exploitation and construction of many road upgrading and overhaul projects on routes: National Highway 1A, National Highway 7A, National Highway 49, National Highway 14, TL538, Ho Chi Minh Road, Package D14. The projects constructed by the Company always ensure quality. In particular, the Company is one of the enterprises with a lot of experience in the field of road construction, especially in the field of production and paving of asphalt concrete on road surfaces. The Company's output value in the construction field every year always meets the set plan. Therefore, the Company's reputation is increasingly enhanced in the field of road traffic construction.

Since its establishment, Road Management and Construction Joint Stock Company 470 has achieved increasingly high results in production and business, affirming its position in the current market. - Road Management Department 1 was awarded the Third Class Labor Medal by the President (1988).

- Road Management Sub-Division 470 was awarded the Third Class Labor Medal by the President for the period 1991-1995 (1996).

- Road Management and Construction Joint Stock Company 470 was awarded the Second Class Labor Medal by the President for the period 2001-2005 (2007) and was awarded the excellent emulation flag by the Ministry of Transport and the Vietnam Road Administration.

- In 2015, Road Construction and Management Joint Stock Company 470 was awarded the flag "Excellent unit in the emulation movement in 2015" by the Government.
