Compared to many of his peers, Mr. Chung (64 years old) is considered the luckiest and most successful. After 35 years working as a human resources manager at a transportation company, Mr. Chung retired at the age of 60 with a pension of about 7,100 yuan/month (25 million VND). His wife also has a regular monthly allowance of 5,400 yuan (about 19 million VND) to spend.
With 12,000 yuan, Mr. Chung's husband does not have to worry about finances or depend on his children. They even have some savings to travel anytime. In addition to their children growing up and being successful, this surplus pension is something that Mr. Chung feels very proud of.
One day, Mr. Chung accidentally met his friend who was the class monitor in college. It had been more than 30 years since graduation, this reunion made both of them extremely happy. After chatting for a while, Mr. Chung agreed to the proposal to attend the class reunion that winter. With his current position and fulfilled life, the 64-year-old man could not help but be proud and excited, wanting to share with his old classmates.

The meeting was held at a large restaurant in the city. According to the class president, this was the most crowded class reunion ever with 35 out of 37 people attending.
Before the meal, Mr. Chung’s classmates took turns reminiscing about the past, from happy memories to difficult times during their university years. By the middle of the party, everyone began to talk about themselves, sharing more about their current lives and families.
Seeing his classmate open up about his pension, Mr. Chung excitedly boasted: "Our combined pension is about 12,000 NDT. After retirement, my wife and I often travel and relax with friends. Our current life is also comfortable and happy. Our children are all grown up and have their own families, so we don't have to worry too much."
As soon as Mr. Chung finished speaking, his friends around him immediately exclaimed in admiration. They praised him for being talented, having a good job, and marrying a virtuous wife, so his life in old age was very fulfilling and happy.
The class reunion lasted about 5 hours. Mr. Chung returned home happy and somewhat proud. He recounted the entire meeting to his wife and children. Contrary to what he had imagined, Mr. Chung’s wife was immediately upset when she learned that her husband had revealed his pension to his friends. She feared that their family life might face many troubles in the future.

Just as his wife had thought, the next morning, Mr. Chung received many friend requests on social networks. All of them were his old classmates. Some even called to inquire about his health and family life.
At first, Mr. Chung did not think anything of it when many friends showed interest. However, in the following days, both he and his wife were extremely tired and embarrassed when they continuously asked to borrow money, invite them to invest and buy real estate.
Faced with the requests and invitations of his old classmates, Mr. Chung appeared very confused and tired. Both Mr. Chung and his wife, who liked to live a peaceful and easy life, did not want to be entangled in debt or risky investments. Therefore, they spent 2 days thinking about how to refuse, so as not to offend everyone.
That day, Mr. Chung bravely sent a message to the class group. He expressed his gratitude for the concern and questions from many friends. However, he did not forget to clarify his point of view that he did not want to be involved in any loans or investments at this age.
Mr. Chung's response offended many of his classmates. However, the old man thought he did the right thing and did not "make enemies" with anyone. After that, Mr. Chung decided to say goodbye and leave the class group.
Mr. Chung's decisive action surprised his wife. However, she still thought what he did was right. At the age of U70, they wanted to preserve and maintain quality and close relationships rather than bring trouble upon themselves.
