Specifically, at around 8:30 a.m. the same day, a working group of Traffic Police Team No. 15 was patrolling the route from Nhat Tan Bridge to Vo Nguyen Giap (Dong Anh District, Hanoi) when they discovered an old man riding a bicycle onto Nhat Tan Bridge.

More dangerously, the old man was driving in the wrong direction on the car lane at a maximum speed of 90 km/h, posing a very high risk of an accident.
As soon as discovered, the working group quickly stopped the car, approached, and urgently took the old man out of the dangerous area.

Through discussion, the traffic police team realized that the old man was showing signs of not being lucid, so they coordinated with the commune police to contact relatives to pick him up.
According to the Traffic Police Department of Hanoi City Police, Nhat Tan Bridge prohibits non-motorized vehicles from 5am to 10pm every day; non-motorized vehicles are only allowed to move from 10pm to 5am the next day. The above situation is also a reminder for families to pay attention to the elderly, especially when driving vehicles, to ensure the safety of relatives and the community.
